Hi. Has anyone tested the suspension at full travel? It looks like a design flaw. The suspension mounting parts touch each other at about 70% of the travel and become damaged. The frame suspension stops there. Im using SIDLuxe 210x50 shock.

Yes, I share the same experience. Hongfu is sending me optimised aluminium linkages.

I’ve cycled almost 1000km with the frame and it’s holding up incredibly well. I’m very happy with it. Next week I’ll race with it for five days to see how it performs.

I conquered the Croatian rocks 🛘 and gravel on this bike during an Epic series event.  The conditions were perfect and I handled the rocks and stones incredibly well. I’m really pleased with the quality of the frame and the overall result.

I placed 7th (and 2nd in age group) at the USA cross triathlon sprint on this bike, it was a fast ride in the rocks and handled a couple of 70-90cm drops really well, rider was the limiting factor!

Received the frame in February, and have done several rides in the meantime.
Frame is great, efficient and high quality, but also noticed mine is developing damages at exactly same spots at the suspension linkage hardware.
Surprised to see they just machined some material away, no finishing, paint or something.

I noticed that your rear shock lockout is located at the top. Did you have to remove some material from the bottom of the top tube?

Well spotted a lot cleaner that way,  I am not even sure I tried it that way!

It just fits, cable end cap is rubbing a bit against the frame, but should be good.

Ending up like this was also more coincidence than on purpose. Found a second hand Sidluxe A2 2P for only 80 euro. Since I wanted to use it with a 3P Squidlock (MP11) I had to rebuild, so ordered upgrade kit which always comes with In/Out remote cable hanger. Then during rebuilding I realised that I could combine the 3P hardware with the backside cable hanger that was already on the shock. So there we are, remote cable pulley and cable sit on top, nice and clean bike
I was surprised by flexibility and interchangeability of the Sidluxe A2 ‘platform’, there is many options, kits and servicing is pretty simple.

Rest of components is combination of Shimano XT and XTR (brakes, shifter, derailleur). Fork a second hand Rockshox Sid SL Ultimate 3P 110mm. Wheels are self-build with DT Swiss 240 hubs and 270gr 30mm inner width rims from Ali. Total weight of the bike will be somewhere just below 10,5kg.

Do you think a RockShox SID flight attendant rear shock with the battery location will prohibit a water bottle from fitting on the downtube (size L)?  Looks like there is very little clearance on your current setup.

Might be a challenge indeed, although my frame is size M. With this setup I can fit a regular (650 ml) and large (950 ml, as in the photo). But it barely fits, especially the regular is quite difficult to get out, I’m thinking to get another holder so i can take it from the side.
With additional flight attended unit, don’t know if there is enough space for a large bidon.

Hi, what size is your frame? I'm curious if all sizes have this problem, because I don't see many complaints on other FM358 threads so I'm thinking that they may have only tested one size and just scaled the design for different sizes without actually testing.

Hi, my frame size is M (17.5)

Now I have another problem. When the rear suspension compresses, the brake rotor rubbing the pads. This also occurs when the bike leans into corners. I think it's a rear triangle stiffness issue. I contacted HongFu two months ago, and since then they've only asked for a photo of the brake mount on the frame.

In this video i push down my chest on saddle two times
