I own one of these frames. I can confirm that the frame is full internal routing through the headset and you can run a dropper post with the cable going around the bottom bracket area (I have a 150mm oneup dropper v2 in mine)

The only issue with the frame is that it doesn’t actually come with a 52/52 headset. So I had to source my own with a shortened bearing to make sure there wasn’t any gaps below the top cap.

Other than that I am fairly satisfied with the frame, the build was pretty easy and came in right around 9.8 kg.

I found out that myself when I asked the seller why it both says that headsets are included, and in the next sentence that it's not

I just purchased bearings but went with 52X40X8mm. Do you need to buy the 52x40X7mm version to get it flush?

I used one of these headsets from ritchey since I only needed two holes (I ran eagle axs). The compression ring is built into the lower top cap and has a built in rubber ring to help maintain a seal.

If you need more ports, I remember that AliExpress also had a headset by Neco with more that may also work.

I don’t quite remember the exact dimensions of the bearings, but I do remember the one I ended up using was at least 1 mm shorter than the one that originally came with the ritchey headset.

I was wondering about the Meinier "Snake" 29" hardtail frames also. Just started noticing these since about 1 year ago maybe, but haven't been able to find any reviews on them yet.
I really wish some folks start uploading youtube videos about them, since their product listing looked pretty legit on aliexpress.
So, aside from having to source 7mm tall headset bearings specifically, folks didn't have any issues installing parts? No notable quirks of having to internally route up to 3 cables (rear derailleur, rear brakes, dropper) through the headset? Was there any need to deburr threads, face spray off the bottom bracket shells, or sand anything down? Is there any vent holes of sorts around the bottom to let some water drain when the bike is washed?

Looks like my frame is in Germany and on its way to Sweden. So for now, I don't have any updates on the build quality or if there are any odd stuff.
Regarding headset bearings. I have 8mm ones at home, so i will see if that works or if i need the 7mm ones to get the stem flush.

And I will only route the rear brake. Electronic shifting and no dropper to start off with.

I'm going mechanical shifting and maybe dropper - Will also take a look into the frame with a cheap periscope lens after I got it - maybe in 10-14 days. As I don't want to spam in here I'll post in my "own" thread in the 27,5er section about this when time is come 😉

@niklass: I'm looking forward to your experience with the Headset - as I don't have anything laying around I'll oder some parts as soon as I get a look at the frame

I have recieved my frame today. The frame weighs in at 1230g in size XL, painted (matte black) and with rear axle, UDH hanger and seatclamp.
Build quality as far as i can see looks good.

I have started building the bike up.

So far pretty easy with zero issues. Still waiting for the wheels to show up, should be a week or so. I guess i will know then if the calipers will be aligned and such. Brakes will of course need bleeding before firts ride And some calibration of the derailleur will probalbly be needed.

Feels promising. Only concern is what you ask about😂
I have no idea about that, and apparently I might have overlooked this when ordering the cranks/chainring. I have ordered a Riro carboncranks with a 34t chainring. But the chainline and how to know what you have is a mystery to me.
Right now it feels like it is not optimal. The chain is not in a great line when on the biggest cog. But not sure how to solve it. And I don’t know what offset this chainring is☺️

When measured it looks like a 55 chain line. But maybe it should be 52? But not sure how to solve that

In my experience everything from 52 to 55 works for a boost rear axle - 55 could lead to the chain dropping on lower sprockets when backpedaling

Regarding to the aliexpress listing the stock chain ring should be 6mm offset, so quite interesting how you get a 55mm chainline

How's the clearance of the chain ring? Do you have some room or is it already close to the frame? Carbomania told me max chain ring size for 52mm chainline would be 32t but I doubt that tbh

I guess I am trying out different ways of using the spacers, I have one spacer now on the Drive side (it says MTB on it . I might have measured it wrong last night (was in a hurry) but will check more thouroughly tonight.

But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense that 32t is max for the frame, atleast with a 52mm Chain line.
I barely have any space between frame and chainring now. Max 1-2mm
