Pedals

Nice build!

Are the pedals in the photos the single-sided Exustar E-PR50 SPD pedals? I've been eyeing them for some time. What's your experience with them?

Nice, is the raw with UD glossy finish?

It's the raw carbon with UD glossy finish. In real life it's seems to be brown, not a pure black.

It's the E-PR50 yes. They do rust quickly and lack a proper release sensation. I have become stuck several times with them, while Shimano dual-sided pedals provide a clear unclip feel. I would not recommend the Exustar models; the Wolf Tooth DEL might be a better option, though they cost 250€.

I'm 182cm and ordered a Large. Geo is very close to my BMC in size 56: same STA/HTA, same stack, just 4 mm shorter reach. I recommend using geometrygeeks or bikeinsights to compare with a bike you own or at least have ridden. Bikegeocalc can help you dial in the components aspect to see whether and how you might mirror the bike fit that works for you on this frame.

I own a BMC Teammachine SLR and I strugle a bit on the ascents. Can you tell me how this frameset compares to your BMC?

Can you tell me how responsive is on the Ascents? That is what I am most interested in!

This looks like a really cool build. What is the inner width of the Tukus wheels?

Thanks! The road bike feel of a more compact wheelbase on the gravel is a great time and I’m itching to go hit the dirt trails with this bike more often now.

The inner width is 25mm and the external width is 30mm.

You can find them on AliExpress or here is  the link to their website:

if you have an SLR and struggle on ascents, it's probably not the bike. could be the fit, could be fitness. sorry to say.  :-\

My SLR01 is a 2015 model, so it's quite different. rim brake, dura ace di2 11s, enve rims... However, the overall build weights are basically the same, as is the geo (BMC in my size = +5mm reach and slightly shorter chainstays). The BMC seems more compliant in the right spots, while the LTK is stiff all around. the tavelo integrated bar stem i have on the LTK could also be contributing to that stiffness. The BMC has that 'special sauce' while the LTK is more workmanlike. But it gets the job done. I'm faster on the LTK. I enjoy climbing on it. And I love having disc + Force E1.

Hey everyone,

Wanted to share my build and give some feedback since I found so much useful info on this forum when researching this frame. A huge thanks to everyone who shares their builds and experiences here, it really helped me make my decisions.

Listing:

Frame: LongTeng LTK266 D SL (size XL)
Groupset: Sram Force D2 46/33 10/33 (climbing gears, obviously)
Crankset: Quarq PM (172.5mm)
Wheels: Zipp 303s
Tires: GP 5000 S TR 32 (set up with TPU)
Handlebar: Tavelo Avro Gen 1 (40x120)
Saddle: Ryet carbon
Pedals: Look Keo 2 Max (not in the photo)
Headset: FSA 55R (goes without saying at this point, but might as well mention it)
Bolts: Titanium & aluminum, Carbon-Ti
Rotors: Sram 160mm (I had enough with my rim brakes road bikes, I'm just here to stop at the bottom of the descents)

Final weight: 7.6kg with bottle cage, computer mount, and pedals.

Ordering / shipping:
Communication with the company was easy, quick and clear replies. Shipping took about 1 month. No import taxes on arrival in France.

Assembly:
Zero assembly issues. One thing to watch out for: the stock seatclamp screw is too long, swap it for a shorter one before you assemble the bike. Also need to swap the seat rail clamp bolt for a titanium one, the stock one is already rusting.

Bike feel:
Confident, but like others have said, it's honestly kind of boring (in a good way). It's good at everything, snappy enough when you are out of the saddle, just a genuinely nice bike to ride. Nothing to complain about. Feels confident downhill, helpful when you are exhausted, and keep the speed nicely. It's probably not the funniest bike to ride, but it's extremely reliable and that's what I'm looking for and light race / endurance frameset. Already 1029km on the bike since I finished the build the 7 august.

Can't wait to try the GP5000 S TR in 35mm!

Thanks again to everyone here, this forum's been a huge help!

Sick bike, May I ask how tall you are and what seatheight you're running? I'm kinda torn between XL and XXL since the bike seems to have pretty short reach across the board

1m89, with the seatpost at 78.5 cm. The bike has a short reach; I prefer a smaller frame and offset this with a longer stem.
