Nothing but that doesn't necessarily mean anything I think. I ordered the frame without handlebars/stem and asked for the custom cover from the start. They'll refund me a small amount for no handlebar but I'm also getting custom paint without extra fee. At least that's the communication so far.

I ordered with an integrated handlebar because they offered me a 60 dollar discount without handlebars. But I wanted to try it because you can’t really buy an integrated handlebar for that price, they told me the smallest size was 380 but they measure in the drops because at the hoods it’s 360. In the end I swapped it out because I didn’t like the look of it.

Looks great! Are you liking the bars?

Some in here have theorized a shorter chain might help with the RD clearance. Did you try that? It looks like chain got shorter between some of your pics.

Yes I like the bars, they look a lot better than the velobuild ones. They are maybe a little more compliant but I don’t mind it I am not that heavy and don’t have a big sprint, I am more a big engine kinda guy or so I am told

In my experience chain length doesn’t matter only b-gap, I first had a very short chain but I made it a bit longer because I swapped chainring size and bought another 10-33 cassette for holiday.

Has anyone else has got seatpost creaking when pushing it up and down and also seatpost slipping and if so how did you solve it ?

My bike hasn't arrived yet, but from what I read there's a newer version of the seatpost with a rough surface on the bottom part that should prevent slipping.

Also (on the older seatpost..?) people used some kind of shim to stop it from slipping like it's shown in patrick lino's video.

Another cause could be the seatpost clamp partly wedging itself against the frame and a user suggested lubricating only the parts (sides?) sitting against the frame to make sure it applies full clamping force against the seatpost.

Can't describe that last one better since I only read about it myself.

I am in the new version but i have got two seatpost clamps one with rougher surface (where the seatpost is in contact with the clamp) than the other one so i dont really know which one i should use

My height is 187cm and i have long legs and arms compared to my upper body (89cm inseam length). In the past I have ridden size 56 frames and end up with a high saddle height and long stem. I was thinking that for this frame i could maybe get away with a size 58, which would make the proportions of saddle height and bar stem better and maybe even a slammed stem would be possible.
What do you guys suggest?

Don't you think the 58 is a bit long for him? I'm 186.5cm with a 86.5cm inseam and 191cm wingspan. Went with the 55.
Can't say anything about the fit as the frame has not arrived yet.

Compare the actual geometry with your previous frames not just the declared frame size. Check stack and reach, with this frame's seatpost the rear has a wide range of adjustment so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

What did they say? Did you check the threads yourself and is it actually not screwed up by your LBS?

they should have catched the alignment issue before tightening to torque tbh.. it's so crooked on yours you'd see it when putting on the tool.

Finally received new frame today. Velobuild was helpful and sent it once they had them in stock.

So in the end no riding this season, not sure if I’ll keep it or sell it.
If anyone is interested in a complete bike with XMCS 78/65 wheels, full Dura Ace Di2 R9100, Rotor crankset with power meter and LaPierre aero bars with TT bars please let me know.

damn, season already over where you're from? Still waiting for my frame to get shipped. Hoping for a golden autumn to at least give it a few spins

so the bb threads were simply misaligned by factory or was it damaged? good to know VB helped you out

No not fully over, I’m in Sweden, I could ride until October but it’s so cold so not very pleasant to ride fast, much prefer mtb riding then! Need to transfer parts from old frame as well.
But will try a spin or two for sure, curious how much faster it will be than my old Tarmac 2008 I had last summer (40km/h required around 320w on a flat).

Yeah my guess is they were not aligned side to side. Yup they were much more helpful than other Chinese brands seem to be, they sent me the new lighter frame too (but without the new fork).

First holiday with the bike I like it even more now. Despite the weight I like the way it rides and climbs.
I swapped my 10-28 cassette for a 10-33 to get a better bailout gear, but I didn’t need it yet tomorrow I will do a ride with some more climbing.
