How isn't it? Chinese halo products cost the same. UR:ONE, SLC5, Spear RDC, etc. This is not trying to compete with LightCarbon pricing. This is a western brand competing with western pricing.
My bad, didn't realize this was an American kickstarter type venture.
Asking for 3k for something that hasn't seen a wind tunnel, hasnt gone through prototype testing / layup operation, started operations this year, and so on, is wild to me, but it does read like a nice kickstarter story, with expected consequences, like "ooooh, nice weight" followed by "the frameset failed to pass its last strength test."
At this price point, i guess it's patriotic to spend your money on that, but otherwise, very much unwise. My view anyway.
I almost like the tyre clearance though, as it's almost - but not quite - capable of running a GP5000 in 35C.
So why are we posting western brands here?
If specialized started undercutting velobuild on price, we'd be talking about specialized on here
