big fan of my Salsa Journeyer, not a chiner but imo one of the most underrated frames. I've squeezed 2.2 race kings onto it.

Sodce frameset:

Mosso frameset

I don't have experience with any of them, but I'd just get a set of lightweight wheels, go tubeless and run some fat disc rotors to get best performance.  ;)

The Tsunami / Seaboard GR02 is another option, although it's a bit more of an all-road bike than gravel (42mm official max tire clearance, although may have been increased?). I have one for my commuter and it's been great - no issues building it up, and the paint and welds look good.

I only found one link for it, but I didn't search very hard:

You can get it direct from Tsunami as well, with more color and size options:

I'm also looking for something similar but in a quick release version. Carbon fork not needed but a bonus I guess if it came with it.

These Dark Rock steel frames with QR look like the equivalent of Chinese Surlys. Not much cheaper than a carbon frame, unless you really want a QR alloy/steel gravel frameset.
