The question is interesting cause it poses the companies at the same level in term of moral. This points directly to Serge post on the Vendor section of this forum.

I pulled the trigger yesterday too. There was some special price on AliExpress that I could not pass on. I picked the chameleon color, but am not too sure. Any suggestions on nice paint job that tantan can do?

It's also weird that they sell the frameset without axles & headset bearings. I think they are the only seller that does that.

Headset bearings are not standard on the Ostro, so that's potentially some serious brain fuck. Owing to the steerer not being round and so on.
Not selling TA, given there's a million possible threads, pitches, lengths and so on, also a red flag.
Given there are plenty of people who've complained that they stripped the TA / frame when installing the TA, it could be a weasel way for tantan to be like "nooooo, it's your fauuuuuult, you used the wrong TA!".

Personally, i would run Market conventions exist for a reason. As you've noticed, EVERYBODY either includes these things, or gives you the option to buy these things when you buy the frame.

There's a link to order those exact things on the bottom of the page when you look at the frame. It is strange that they arent already included, but you can still buy them with the frame. And if anyone strips a thru axle thread, that is 100% their fault for over doing it.

It was some kind of an "early bird" deal. Chameleon color was 503 usd + shipping.

That's right, you can buy the TA & bearings from them and that puts the responsability on them to provide correct parts. I am just surprised that you have to order on the side. As stated above, anyone that buys the frame will need them. To me it's equivalent to the RD hanger. It should always come with the frameset and anyone selling them in the side is just trying to display a lower price tag, but forcing you to buy extra parts that are needed anyway

Im expecting it to take around 2 months. I ordered an x68 last year, and that was the timeline with christmas, and new years in there. This time around it should be late september/ early october when i receive it.

Not custom no. I asked for blue/purple chameleon matte finish. I hope it will come out similar to luxter blue from Pinarello

Anyone using this frame tried 32C tires? And also why does it say "only supports electronic gearshifting" and then "Both mechanical and DI2 can be used", what does that mean?
