Interesting! Makes you wonder... Is it just a sticker, or did they OEM for Reserve? With the recent behavior of tantan, i'm thinking, maybe they were just Reserve stickers on unbranded rims?

You should also be asking if this is a photo of their factory or just one that they took. Also worth asking is whether they have a factory or are simply a reseller with relationships with multiple factories. I've always had the impression that they are a trading company and not a particularly trustworthy one. After all, both here and Reddit have many stories documenting the reasons why they aren't great to work with. On the other side, how did they build their rep as a "big factory"? Through influencers, they have business deals with?

That said, most of the sellers on here are trading companies or they make some of their product or share a factory, etc. Very few appear to be single entities that own their production end-to-end. That doesn't bother me tho as long as they want to do business honestly.

There is ZERO chance any of the Pon brands would work with them while they also sell knockoffs. In a place like China where IP theft is still a significant issue, its a huge risk to work with a company selling knockoffs, let alone knockoffs of your own products.

It's hard to tell where this photo was taken. But it was posted before official release of the new Reserve 64 wheel visible in the back.

I think they are just happy pumping out clones. I have a Cervelo R5 clone (FM639 I think). It looks good and rides OK (rear end is a bit floppy). I don't mind the cloning so much, but I do wish they would mix and match stuff out there. I would love a aero in the front (deep head tube, thin bladed forks, aero profiles), climber in the back (thin and dropped seat stays, 27.2 seatpost) frame with good tire clearance. They have the know how to put that all together and it would actually give them some legitimacy and hype, even if it was just a combo of existing bikes. Venge front, Aethos back anyone? I'd be game

Bottom line: my understanding of Tan-Tan was wrong all this time, I guess. All they've been doing forever is sell clones, and with their history of shoddy quality, which dates back forever, and isn't limited to these exploding forks, they end up being worse than velobuild, ultimately, at the same price point.

Hopefully mine trends above average experience wise. I do wish I had spent more for something else.

Holy f.. I've replied in that TTX71 thread and now I see this. I share your opinion but they are not Yohobike.
Yohobike are a few people that have a warehouse in Dongguan. But I'm 95% sure they are sourcing there bikes from the same 'big supplier'.
Maybe they are even using the same company to paint these frames.. Would be a cool YouTube docu if someone digged in to this world.
The question is Who's providing them these frames..
