Road bike handelbars with attachable TT bars
« on: July 31, 2025, 05:01:34 AM »
Hello my fellow road bike enjoyers,

i am on the lookout for some handelbars with attachable TT bars. I would like the bars to have a modern geometry, with that i mean beeing narrow on the hoods (360) and with some flare. For the TT bars i would prefer a also modern, some what high "praying mantis" style.

The bars i found (see list) below dont realy fit that describtion so i wanted to ask if maybe one of you saw one, prefable more on the budget side (~300€).

SPcycle: -> to wide for my taste

Bike Doc: -> best ones so far

northroad: -> some interresting DIY addapter i think

I almost bought the Bike doc one last week but decided to go with a clip-on one as the Bike Doc one seems to be lacking some adjustements.

I also was in doubt when I saw the picture where the bars are mounted on the wrong direction ::)

I use a Trek Speed Concept setup on my Emonda occasionally when doing big endurance rides. Two bolts removes the whole aero setup, and four more bolts will change out the stem top cap leaving you with a decent looking cockpit. Not exactly a cheap option but it's pretty nice and sturdy.

Interesting... also the new Pinarello Dogma GR has a new handlebar designed to attach TT bars...

But in the photo the bars are mounted wrong  ;D

New grevil also has a similar feature. Same with the Ostro Vam (black inc) handlebar, but they are quite out of the OP's budget, somewhere around the 800€ mark.

I know Canyon makes such a setup, I saw videos of the vegan cyclist using it, and it looks dope. Has anyone looked into that?

Those aero bars aren't even available in the US. They are on the UK site for almost 500GBP...
https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/gear/bike-parts/contact-points/aero-bars-and-tri-extensions/canyon-gear-groove-aero-extension/10012754.html
Then it requires you to also have the groove handlebars that costs another 400GBP; which like the sp-cycle copy, lack narrow widths.

At that point, I'd just get a round alloy bar and throw on Profile design clip ons. And save the 6-700.

If you want to use carbon aero drop bars, Deda Superzero RS and Vinci as well as some RXL SL handlebars have a wide enough clampjng area to mount some TT clip ons.
Does anyone know about other aero carbon bars that would be able to accommodate regular clip ons?

Piggy-bagging onto this, especially for integrated cockpits. I know Giant used to have a system but it seems to have been faded out. Pinarello looks awesome but that price tag...

Hi freddy_the_main,
i am looking for exactly the same - since years! Thanks for your list. Finally we have some china-brands offering those aero handlebars with TT-option. But they don´t have them in 36cm/120mm.
Black Inc have, what we are looking for. But their handelbar has a backsweep (i am looking for frontsweep) and they are really expensive, so i don´t like them.
The Spcycle HB-068 Aero Carbon would be ok for me, its pretty much the Canyon-Build, but again, they are offering it only in wide sizes.

Look at this abomination https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009487373966.html
Anyways, I wouldn't disk putting any kind of clamps on any carbon aerobars which were not designed for the clamps in mind.

That looks like it should come with dental insurance.
