XM Carbon Speed CS-R01 & CS-R06

Anyone able to confirm the seat post design/shape on the R01 and R06 framesets? It looks like the R06 is round and the R01 is 'aero' shape. Is this correct? If so what size is the 06 seatpost?

I'm particularly interested in these frames as they seem to be relatively high stack and short reach which would suit this old and broken body of mine. The sizing seems a little off, anyone with experience able to advise if an M-515 would be suitable for me, 172cm (5' 7.5"), inseam 80.5cm?

I'd probably get it painted by XMCarbon. Is their finish decent?

R01 had an aero seat post.  Definitely, the higher stack is more suitable for those of us with herniated discs.  I have put several thousand miles on it now.

If I ever build another bike like this it will have to have similar reach and stack numbers.  The R06 is “slightly” more aggressive

Also, will add, I’m 5’8” and ride a 515.

I am also trying to research if there are members here who have an experience riding CS-R06. It's one of my choices along LCR017D and Speeder R55.

I bought 3 for friends, but i havent ridden it myself. One girl, 2 dudes. The 2nd dude is still getting the expander plug slipping, and i've run out of ideas on how to help him remotely. He's looking for a bike shop in paris. It must be user error.
The other 2 are very happy. The girl already did a triathlon on it, and the guy is a motorbike champion and is stoked AF about his custom build. I think the 1200g wheelset help, given he lives in the mountains.
Obviously, this frame is solving for weight and cost, not aero. Don't buy it if you want something that will go fast in a straight line. But to build something that feels more like an Aethos, then as far as i can tell, it's a good frame. When you order, specify which saddle rail system you want (round or oval).

Well that's too bad since I am trying to find a frame for racing and endurance, hence an all-around frame. Maybe I'll think about putting 50mm wheels in it with 0 offset seatpost and a 120/40 integrated bar so I can race with it. Or find other options haha. I am also eyeing on LTK 266 but the design is like an endurance frame, though the geometry of 520 size is quite aggressive.

ok, had a couple of very nice emails from Peter and I’ve pretty well made my mind up to buy one of either the R01 or R06.

There are a few difference between them - the saddle rail clamp looks different, the R06 is very slightly longer reach, the R01 very slightly slacker seat angle. Looks like the R01 has chunkier tubes.

Both EPS mould tech or only the R06?

Are they both meant as racing bikes and not endurance?
Stifness? Comfort? Tyre clearance?

I have ordered the R01 due to geometry for my fit.  Pretty sure they are both T47 bb.
