Listing has been updated, clearance is indeed 32C.

Stated clearance is 32mm tyre + 5.5, so 32+11=43mm.

For comparison, my LT268, at the chainstays, is 32.9+5.3*2= 43-44mm. Aka, the same. I would say that my frame is a truly a 32C frame, in that i have ample space to run a 32C tyre that can balloon bigger, fork too.
My fork measures 30+8.2+8.9=47mm.
My rear rim measures 34mm, which means i can run Peter's 36mm rim w a 30 or 32C tyre w/o a problem. Which means the same should be possible on this frame as well.
So, this 126 frame is compelling, clearance wise. I wish it were 35C, but being able to run a 30C on a 36mm rim, expecting the tyre to measure around 34mm is compelling. And running a 32C measuring 36mm on that 36mm rim should also work, leaving 3.5mm which, assuming the wheels aren't noodly AF (assumes steel or carbon spokes, not the fabric spokes that Peak Torque tested), there shouldn't be any rub.

So, that's a very good thing in my book, makes the bike future proof enough.

I asked what happens if the project doesnt go ahead, and Jack said they will refund all the money. It sounds pretty evident that they mean business, and they're not playing games. If they gather enough traction, it gets made. If not, they refund the money, and voila.

People will have the option to order the regular seat post, or the 0 offset one.

Very compelling. With the clearance question clarified, (700-150=550) for 550$ you get a frameset (no bars), plus DDP shipping, with better specs than everybody else, pretty much. Velobuild is not monocoque and is only T800 / much heavier, tantan is a clown show, Long teng (and related brands) dont have a modern aero frame, Speeder either; Peter has the gran turismo frameset, but it costs a lot more.

@Serge, regarding tire clearance. 40mm between the stays might be 32mm width as measured max, as ISO4210 for road bikes (confusingly racing bikes) is 4mm. I would check the drawings before assuming that there is more or less clearance vs. your 268 because that 4mm min clearance spec might be driven by FD cable placement, ST or fork crown clearance. With the 266SL, it does look like FD cable would be the main clearance issue, but since I am actually planning on a 1x build, it wont matter to me. Not sure what the case is with the 126.

Any of these kind of backing programs carries risk. While Indiegogo might offer refunds prior to the closure of the campaign, beyond that its up the the organizers of the campaign, and while they might make every promise in the world now, they aren't actually held to anything and this could change in the future.

I have had some products from Indiegogo that went very well, but these products were pretty much fully ready by the time they created the campaign and it was more for marketing. Others where the product looked pretty close to ready and now here we are 2 years later where they now refuse/don't answer refund requests, are missing all the incredibly late targets they set for themselves and it feels likely the company will just dissolve before the products are actually delivered.

If you aren't ok with risk it would be better to wait for the product to be delivered, reviewed and then you can decided if it is worth it, albeit you will likely pay more.

After following the IQ2 saga on Kickstarter many years ago, I would never 'invest' in a cycling product on a crowdfunding platform.

Not to say that this would be the same, but IQ2 was an example of pretty much everything that can go wrong when you give financial backing to an early stage project.

i think this is a bit different in that they already know how to build frames, but both want to cover the upfront cost and have a product that will definitely sell.

There’s no way this campaign will reach the number of backers they’re asking for in the remaining time.
If you back it, the best-case scenario is getting a refund.
