Carbon crank Sram wide (gravel Chainline)

Has anyone used a carbon crankset with the sram wide RD? Im building a gravel 2x bike and ideally would like a carbon crankset that I can use with a PM. Wide chainline is 47.5mm.

Since there are some fairly nice offerings in wide versions I don't see much of a point replacing Force or Red E1 cranksets with something aftermarket, their weight is very competitive and pricing also. On the other hand what is your max frame clerance and tire width you plan to use? You can have 46-47mm WAM tires with non-wide derailleur.

I'm building a bike and getting parts as i go. So far only frame and RD. Going to get a sram wide FD. Tyre clearance on the frame is 50mm. The Sram crank set isn't competitive when it comes to a power meter and weight.

Just curious what you mean by this. IMO SRAM cranks are very competitive when it comes to price and weight. My pair of Red E1 dub wide cranks are 309g (165mm). This is on par or better than the popular aftermarket carbon cranks like Cybrei and Elilee, and those don’t come in a wide chainline as far as I’m aware. Price is competitive with those options as well (often better actually). You pretty much need to go ridiculously expensive like THM to do better than SRAM cranks. Quarq PM is a bit heavy but there’s plenty of options for an aftermarket 8 bolt spider PM.

I can pickup some RIRO carbon cranks on ali for around $AUD300 these weigh 342g red wide cranks would cost me $AUD680.

Hmm, I think the price difference is less in the US. Red is still 33g lighter. For what its worth I don't think 33g matters at all, but how much of a weight weenie are you? Because weight savings get exponentially more expensive at the bleeding edge. Anyway, sounds like you should just go with Riro, unless they don't offer the chainline you need. Force E1 is a great option on a budget tbh, 411 grams and only $180 in the US, like stalkersk pointed out.

Ill have to look around to see if there are any deals to be had with sram. My research tells me riro will work, i was looking for confirmation from someone who has actually done it.
