Best lightweight carbon crankset

Hi all,

While I wait on my LCR018-D frameset, im thinking about a carbon crankset for the build to pair with an Ultegra 8170 setup.

Just wanted to get you recommendations for a fit and forget crank that gives the least hassle in terms of chainline etc, and is proven reliable.
I was thinking of the Bigrock, as the lovely carbon finish would be great for the UD finish of the bike, and price is good, but the comments on a thread on here seem to show a lot of users having trouble.

The other option I was considering is the new TEO P515 Magene carbon crank with power meter, but doesn't seem to be available to the UK as yet, and being a power meter, it adds a lot of cost - but would be nice.

Anything else I should consider?
T47 BB and I already have a lovely 24mm BB ordered, so 24mm spindle definitely preferred!

I have been using this on my SP-Cycle G069 build. Rock Brothers Carbon Fiber crank arms at 162.5mm length. 28.99 DUB, 320g.  Been running it for almost 600 miles on all sort of terrain. Very solid without issues and well worth the price.  In fact, I am planning on buying one more of these for my LCR018-D build as well.

Yes, I aready have an Ultegra chainset and picked up a CeramicSpeed 24mm BB, so want to keep that in there in case I need to change back at any stage. Thanks anyway - the SRAM Red crank is amazing.

Bike-components.de has some SRAM RED D1 175mm (with 40T chainring) for €230. Great price considering they weigh around 340g.
You can also find them used for less than €150 on eBay.

you can buy the P515 from uk.magene.com they put the price up £50 in the last week or two though which is pretty cheeky

You can buy the PES (aluminium) version of the P515 (AliExpress has plenty of good offers) but the carbon version is the TES P515, which is listed as unavailable on Magene UK website.

The carbon version is TEO 515, but just as the RED it's a 29mm spindle, which makes it out of subject since OP is looking for 24mm

Thanks for the clarification- didn’t realise it was 29mm, as the PES was 24mm I thought it would be the same. Well that’s it ruled out now!
