I went with the Cruz cranks for my daughters 24" build and they have been bulletproof proof.  I did not want to get away from the 24mm spindle standard. Super happy with them. When she moved or my younger daughter moves to a 24" frame as well, I will be going this route again

Frame received today. I forgot to weight it. Need to do that later. Overall look is ok-ish. Minor imperfections in the paint over the bearings area. There is some material lacking in the seat tube. Frame has metal inserts in the bottom bracket. I'm not sure for what is the whole on the bottom. Here's some photos

Next updates. Bolany fork came in and I wieghted both. Frame itself is quite a chunk at 1220 grams. My road frame in size 56 was 200 grams lighter.

Wheels received. I bought them through Xiamen MostSport. 435 USD plus shipping. 25IW/30OW. I also collected dinner other bits and pieces for the built.

There are a few HG 12 speed cassettes out there and they work great.  I have converted a few 135m QR bikes over to 12 speed just fine. Also my daughter's ALiexpress 24er is running 12 speed.  Her frame is a 142mm TA but same inside frame space as 135 QR.

Yes it fits. Shimano Slx cassette on MS hub.

Aaand the bike is finally ready to win races. Total weight as seen on photos is 9.7 kg. We will see maybe we'll switch the sale from old Spec Jett bike. Tomorrow my son will do some test rides. I've learned a lot myself about building and servicing bikes during that project. Hardest thing was to set up properly  the derailleur. Original Shimano chain didn't want to work with Wuzei chainring I have to swap chain clip for a Sram one. And apparently the hanger was bend and I couldn't set up gears properly. Straighten it a bit with an allen key but I will probably visit a friend bike shop to measure the hanger.
 I need to sum up the parts and cost in the next post

I am starting new thread to document my off season project for my nearly 8 year old boy, who started to get some podiums during this MTB season. He is now 135 cm, but he grows very fast and I'm deciding wheteher I opt for 26 or 27,5 inch wheels if they will fit. Iwas deciding between SPcycle 27er XS frame and this Meinier frame and decided to go with Meinier. The geometry looks very similar in both and the chainstain is same length. We will see as I have some 27,5er wheels at my bike and I will try to fit them before I will built wheels for that.

For the groupset and brakes I will go for the 12 speed Shimano Deore.

Some carbon seatpost and handlebar plus some hardware out of Ali too.

I'm not sure what to choose regarding chainring for this cranks. As this is QR frame I read that I need 6mm offset. Am I right? Probably will go with 32T for this built compared with 10-51 cassette.

Any recomendations will be helpful too.
