best value bsa and t47 bottom brackets

I would be interested in your experience with bsa and t47 bottom brackets. Are there good options available on ali express? There are plenty of options. Personally, I have experience with  Zrace (ok so far), Kactus (total crap IMO). So I am curious the hear the experience of the community!

Same experience, kactus didn’t last 1000km in my gravel bike I think before making a hearing grinding sound on one side.

Shimano bb's in general. Can be had for cheap and are pretty bomb proof. This is one component I don't see the value/risk to be worth the hassle.

For BB86 Dura-Ace is great but for BSA I think Ultegra is the better choice as it has bigger bearings. For 24mm axle it's always Shimano. For BSA with 30mm axle I went with Wheels MFG as I had awful experience with Raceface bsa30 bottom brackets.

I got a Token T47i for 20 € from a "used" portal... Dude got sent the wrong BB with his Frameset (Yeoleo i believe it was?) and got it replaced... so I've got the wrong BB for no money... The Token BBs seem quite okay from a price point view... and all Tokens I used (square taper) held up really good... for that T47i... only 150km into that, so not gonna give a review about it...

Dura ace BB is actual hot garbage for HT2 bsa tho. It have the highest amount of drag and smallest life cycle due to the extremely small bearing but hey you saved 30 grams over the ently level BB offering. The best bsa HT2 bb is the BB-RS501 and BB-MT501 with NTN bearings if you're willing to do some modifications. These modified BBs will last 100000KM. If you dont like the bearing swap then the midrange offerings will suffice. Most midrage shimano bbs comes with tripple labyrinth sealed bearings but smaller balls inside reducing lifespan and some extra friction.

When I bought an Enve bike it came with a token bb (threaded inboard t47). While I thought it was probably junk, I have to admit that this is the smoothest spinning bb I have and it has seen so much abuse on my gravel bike. I have a BBI bb ready to install but 18mo later the token is still rocking along and I don't see any reason to swap it out until it fails.

Weather sealing sucks on the cheap T47 BBs. I rode one in heavy rain. Water got trapped causing the bearings to seize a few days later. I replaced it with another cheap T47 BB, but I put a huge amount of grease on the inner bearings to minimize moisture issues.

Yeah I suspected that. I wonder if I could transfer the silicon seal from my wheels mfg bsa30 bb to a T47 30mm internal bb the bearing size is the same. Or maybe I shouldn't cheap out on the bb.

I went ONIRII ceramic dub BBright. Shop installed it last week and said it looked decently made/sealed... Not much else to go on!

Tracevelo once said Gineyea bottombrackets are quite good, I installed a T47 one on my gravel and works great (+-1000km)
