Several years ago, I went down the "Made in China" carbon frame rabbit hole and did some researched for all of the frame manufacturers in the Shenzhen industrial complex in the Guangdong Province. I tried to map the listed addresses of 20+ companies I found listed at the time. Somewhere around 12 of these companies are all within a few miles of each other, and many shared the same address. At the time, I found out that XDS, ICAN, and some Tantan product lines were the only ones that had complete in-house production capabilities. All of the other companies outsource a higher percentage of the work to manufacture their frames, to large subcontractors and other bicycle component companies that specialize in manufacturing.
XDS (since 1995) is a huge Chinese bicycle manufacturer, and their sub-division XDS-Carbon-tech is a big player in the Shenzhen frame market. I read somewhere that they manufacture many of the frame molds used by many of the other Shenzhen region carbon frame manufacturers. We often think in terms of "western" corporate business models, but in China, most companies, in a given region/province have loose ties to each other and share a lot of resources with each other.
ICAN (1995) is the other in-house frame and wheel design/manufacture company that has ties to many of the other Frame companies in Shenzen. (Flybike, Framed, Bombtrack, and Obed, Carbonda) I believe they are still a highly rated company.
OTOH, Speeder, AKA Focus Carbon Technologies Limited, is located in Xiamen, Fujian, so I never researched this company since all of my focus was on companies in Shenzen. I believe they are a small company, $2 to $5 million annual sales with less than 50 employees.
