Need help - Trek District Wheelset & other upgrades
« on: October 30, 2025, 11:34:19 PM »
I recently picked up a Trek District 1 2011 (basically brand new) that I’d love to upgrade if modern components for fun. I’m trying to find a cheap carbon HG wheelset for it but I have yet to find a combination of all the things I need. I’m stating to think I’ll have to custom build a set.

https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/c/district/p/20078/

700c, Carbon, 50-60mm, 9x100 front, 9x135 rear, HG to keep gates Carbon Drive, rim brake, minimal branding

I’m also looks for some decent carbon commuter bars and stem. Also a decent 3d printed seat and seat tube. Appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks!

Ryet has some descent 3D saddled, elitaone is the choice for seatpost. Wheels are probably going to be challenging. I think elite wheels has a rim brake option. You can also contact some of the sellers here like serenade, XM…

Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll check out the saddles and seatpost.

I’ll contact serenade, XM on here and see if they can help.

Much appreciated!
