What type of derailleur hanger will it come with?
Why is it 100+ grams heavier than the SP-M05?

Can you advise the difference between this new frame and the M06? Aside from the threaded bottom bracket, the geometry appears very similar.

I'm not sure why they still come out with an old geometry, the current average modern geometry is 65° headtube angle and 77° seat angle with front travel of 130-160mm. They are still stuck in the older days of XC conservative design.

I'm not sure that's entirely true, XC race bikes run steeper head angles and less travel, where they still exist, than what you've nominated. Trail oriented hardtails certainly run slacker and with more travel than what's on offer here, but I'm guessing that's not the market for this model.
It would be interesting to see a carbon, trail style hardtail with slacker angles and a bigger fork.

The M09 is suitable for SRAM UDH hangers and fully integrated cable designs.

The M09 head tube and down tube are much larger than the M05. The inner walls are also thicker, resulting in increased weight.

In what world are XC bikes coming out with 160mm? Down country for 130mm or hardcore hardtails are 160mm like Chromags and what not. Geos like good.

I like the integrated tool box opening in downtube, but...   I read that it adds about 200 grams to the frame's weight.  By having the cutout, the opening disrupts the Structural Integrity of the down tube.  They have to add a lot of material to compensate for the opening.   This can also effect how the bike flexes and feels in the bottom bracket area.  Adding the tool box requires more engineering time and FEA analysis, adding more up-front costs to the frame design.   
I went down and weighed one of my empty seat post tool bags.  It weighs about 90 grams.   Therefore, I am not sure that I want to push around another 100 grams in the bike.  (Although having the tools close to the BB is a good weight balance thing.)   OTOH, in my old age, if I could lose 15 pounds of weight, this would have a far greater impact on riding than adding 200 grams to a frame.

It's exactly the same frame as the M08, but without the 'x-fader' part, right?
The specs and geometry are 100% identical. I ordered an M08 frame in size M, UD matte
I'll post pictures when I receive it.

According to the photos and your description, the M09 frame is only made for fully integrated cable routing. If that's true, this is a real downside because apart from this, the frame would be super interesting.

I am not an advocate for internal cable routing through the headset on gravel and mtn bikes.   On my SP-M05,  I often swap between a rigid and suspension fork.   I stopped using the internal cable routing in the carbon fork.  Presently, I can swap between the forks in less than 20 minutes by having external cable routing.   It only takes another 15 minutes to swap between flat and "H" handlebars.   With electric shifting, I only have the rear brake line routed internal to the frame.   My latest rear dual brake project will drive me to route the rear brake line/s externally too.   If you swap parts all the time, internal cables are a pain and huge time-suck to deal with.
