Aeroad 2018 Copy - Seatpost help
« on: November 07, 2025, 04:11:27 AM »
Hi all,

I have a replica frameset of a Canyon Aeroad from around 2017-2018 - the frameset itself has been phenomenal and I still use it a few times a week - still a very fast bike.

A bit of a shot in the dark, but I wanted to see if I could get a replacement seatpost - a preferably one with a 2 bolt fitting system rather than the standard side clamp system that it comes with, which I find to be really bad (had loads of problems with seatpost tilt slip).
I tried a Hylix seatpost compatible with the original Aeroad from that era, but it is fractionally too big by probably one or two mililmetres - it will go into the frame maybe 1cm before getting stuck and go no further, which is really disappointing!
I was going to repaint the frame and give it a refresh, but only if I can get a new seatpost .

Does anyone remember what the frame model number would be for this - I imagine it was a very popular frame back in the day.
I bought it from Aliexpress and the listing and seller are long gone, so I have no details on it to do any searching.

Any help much appreciated!
