Building my 1st TT bike
« on: November 10, 2025, 09:35:16 AM »
Hi,

I am looking to build my first TT bike.
I'm looking for something that will be between 2000$CAD to 3000$CAD

-Frame and Handlebars : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009108919093.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.4.5c0d463N463NML&algo_pvid=3b8a6cb2-0ab3-42b5-a428-bfc5cd0ac950&algo_exp_id=3b8a6cb2-0ab3-42b5-a428-bfc5cd0ac950-3&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22order%22%3A%221%22%2C%22eval%22%3A%221%22%2C%22fromPage%22%3A%22search%22%7D&pdp_npi=6%40dis%21CAD%211792.74%211559.68%21%21%218892.56%217736.51%21%402101c44517627879682645109e1450%2112000047943136133%21sea%21CA%21909343360%21X%211%210%21n_tag%3A-29919%3Bd%3A13030899%3Bm03_new_user%3A-29895&curPageLogUid=tDllbPlDHDLL&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005009108919093%7C_p_origin_prod%3A

-Wheels will be SuperTeam or Elite, not chosen yet, but it will be in the 500-700$ range.
-Seat, pedals and others small stuff isn't the issue either. I'll check what deal there are when I order them.
-Groupset : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006467908257.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.1b0ewvyZwvyZem&mp=1&pdp_npi=5%40dis%21CAD%21CAD%201436.26%21CAD%20660.68%21%21CAD%20660.38%21%21%21%402101c59117627879751147914ee5a7%2112000047659387164%21ct%21CA%21909343360%21%211%210

I am not sure what kind of grpset/crank would fit my needs. I have not found many available.
I am open to having a 1x12 or 1x11 bike and I would also prefer using a mechanical system.
There is no hills in my area. Feel free to suggest me other frames or parts.

Thanks for helping me !

You can probably get cheaper directly from the seller

With the 11/11 aliexpress sales and coupon, it's really cheap now

The sale price pops up for me as $1,513 but the direct price is $919.

Their ali express store doesn't even offer shipping to the US :/ I need to contact kitty about that cause I've been eyeballing this frame for ages.

OP let us know how the ETT group works for you. Seems like it would be competitive to a sram setup when it is on sale.

i bought 2 frames from Winow via email, not ali. at some point they started ghosting me. Lately, 1 of the frame (different model) has the BB shell started rotating inside the frame itself instead of the bearings rotating...
I wouldn't buy their products again.

It's now 1120$ CAD for me with all rebates. And I might go mechanical. I'm not sure if LTWOO is a good idea. I can't go wrong with mech system.

I'll give it a try. Worst case, this will become my inside bike.

If someone else would make a properly sized XL/XXL Tri frame with a modern adjustable cockpit for a reasonable cost, probably sub 1500USD with shipping etc, I would bite. Winow is the only one that fits this for me currently.
