Author Topic: Lightweight frameset with endurance geometry similar to the Aethos2  (Read 7127 times)

Dear all,

I currently ride a lightweight road bike (frame under 800 grams) with Tarmac SL8 geometry and, due to my body type, with 3 cm of spacers.
I'm looking for a frame of similar weight that I can ride without the spacers.
The Aethos 2 would be a perfect fit, but it's extremely expensive. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

Thanks for your support.

I can fully recommend my Avenger Shuttle SL. I have size 58, the frameset weight 795 g, fork around 370 g. I hit on it around 10k km, now I'm riding on a smart trainer, no issues at all. I tested it on local climbs and descents, Mallorca and on Ultrafondo the Everest.

@Mariuszuzd
I had already seen this frame, but unfortunately the geometry is very similar to that of the Tramc SL8 (see attached picture)

sorry, you are right, maybe then Ican FL1, Evolve Cima or BigRock. I have almost bought the Bigrock but the Hongfu (Avenger) company somehow convinced me. I'm very happy with the bike.

@Mariuszuzd,

I checked also the geometry from this frames, but it seems to be also more race orientated (comparable with Tarmac SL8), but not endurance like.

How about the ICAN FL1 or Flyee?

@jonathanf2,

As you can see on the picture, the geometry also for this two frames is nearly the same, not endurance.
I think the value for the headtube for the FL1 in the tool is wrong.
On the homepahge the value in size 56 is 155 mm not 182 mm.

Lightweight and a more relaxed endurance geometry?
Vook V8 and Pardus Super Evo are probably your best bet.

You can have the geometry with a Light Carbon LCR018 or XM Carbon speed Gran Turismo but they're heavier.

Correct. I have an ICAN FL1 in a 56 and the headtube is indeed 155mm. It's a very good frame, I'l happily recommend it, but it's not an Endurance geometry.

Yes, i checked both framres. Geometry looks good, but they are a bit to heavy from my point of view.

Thanks for the helpful tip. I hadn't included either of them on my list., but if i checked the homepage, then all frames Vook V8 are sold out. Do you have an idea were i can get one ? The geomtry und the weight looks very good for me.
On the Pardus side you can't order a frame there, only a complete bicycle. Does it make sense to ask them, if they also deliver only a frame ?

Vook still sell them from the Chinese warehouse if you ask them, otherwise here: https://www.carousell.sg/p/2025-vook-v8-new-decal-%E2%80%A2rose-carbon-frameset-%E2%80%A2690g-super-light-bicycle-1366655529/

About Pardus, as far as I know the UAE shop (and they themselfs) are also willing to do costum builds (talked to them about it) or just sell the frame.
