Lighweight Road Frames with 35mm Tire clearance - Overview
« on: February 14, 2026, 04:28:15 AM »
Looking for lightweight road frames (sub 1kg) with 35mm max Tire clearance.

Carbonda 505 is too heavy and 42mm TC. Aside from Longteng LTK266-D-SL which other options exist?

Thanks!

How much clearance is acceptable? Most frames specified for 32mm tyres will physically fit 35mm ones. I'm using 32mm GP5000's that on wide rims measure up at 35mm on my Light Carbon LCR017 for example.

I reckon I could get 35mm in my FL1, but depends what it blows up to. 34mm wam in rear at moment.

I can fit 35c comfortable on the ICAN/Triaero Flyee. It's a little more expensive than some other frames though. If I could go back in time I'd definitely consider the LTK266-D-SL, I don't think it existed at the time that I got the flyee.

Voice Velo Echo is close at 34mm clearance.

The LTK-266D-SL is a great frame, though it lacks the setback post. It's got a lot more clearance than you would expect from a frame labeled 35mm. The clamp type it uses also offers a lot of fore and aft range, but I don't think they offer a setback, which makes sense given current trends and the STAs on that bike.
