Best Price/Performance Wheelset 500-1000 € Range

Hi guys,

I guess this was asked before many times, but I still can't decide on a wheelset...

When starting with my bike build plan my first wheels I wanted to buy were Superteams S-All Carbon Ultra (https://superteamwheels.com/products/s-all-carbon-ultra-h2-d30-50-disc-brake-black-decals), but yesterday I saw Hambini's video about Superteam wheelset and he said something about open spokes.

I also saw that a lot of people are buying wheelsets throught Peter from Xiamen Carbon Speed.

Can anyone recommend a wheelset with outer width of 30mm and rim depth either 50mm or 60mm.

There are just too many different sellers (Elite, Zen, XCS, Superteam, Tagoola, CSC, Serenade, 8lien, 9Velo, Frasports...) and my head hurts just thinking about all of them...

Would much appreciate your help, because I don't want to spend 1000 EUR if I can get the same wheelset for 500 EUR.

Peter from XMCS is highly regarded in this forum but other brands you mentioned are also excellent.
But I've still go with Peter imo.

I was in much the same situation, looking for a set of really nice summer wheels.
Was going round in circles, in the end I went for a set of the 50mm Tagoola Aeroraptors.

Crazy weight, look good, and Matter has been very responsive to all questions.
The current Aliexpress sale codes made it a no brainer.

I am fully aware that they might need looked after more than my current Sapim spoked, brass nipple wheels, but that is fine. They will only be used for good weather rides and kept clean and in good condition.

My vote goes to Tagoola for their very competitive prices (I'm on the carbon spoke Aeroraptors), but of the brands you mentioned, none are bad.

Figure out what specs you want, then shop around and see who can get you a good price

Just bought a pair of EliteWheels Edge 3.0 two weeks ago from AliExpress. 23 mm internal, 31 mm external, star ratchet. Paid USD 620. They make them in 52 mm (1344g), I got them in 67 mm (1502g) for an upcoming dedicated aero bike. Haven't received them yet though, but have the Edge 2.0 and the Edge Gravel and they are both holding up nicely.
