For clarity - I did NOT order naked carbon. I ordered a painted gloss black frame.

The photo I was sent, supposedly before shipping, was of the painted gloss black frame. What was delivered was not the frame I ordered.

My entire purpose of posting here was to caution others considering Yoho. If you have had a much better experience with them, that's awesome, you should post that!

At the very least, Yoho should have responded with a solution to get me the frame I ordered and approved.

The actual frame that the OP received might just be fine, from the photos. All UD carbon frames with clear coat looks like this.
But I can understand what the OP was frustrated about. He asked and was expecting a frame with black paint, not something with naked carbon with clear coat.

As for the comments from your "carbon expert", I seriously doubt his expertise when he thought that carbon frame tube shouldn't flex when squeeze by hands.  All carbon tubes, especially aero shape ones that is not round, will flex when squeeze.  Also, it is technically impossible to tell what carbon fiber materials the frame used (T1000 vs. T800) without using some serious scientific instrumentation analysis. If your expert claimed that he can tell T1000 and T800 carbon frame apart by just looking at it and squeezing it, then he/she is really not much of an "expert".

Have you ever seen how an Osto Vam looks? Sorry, but I don't think you did your research beforehand because this is what the clearcoat UD carbon frames look like. At least you got your frameset. UPS lost mine and I'm going through hell trying to get a claim going with Tom, but he is blaming me for UPS losing the bike because I changed the shipping date to one where I would be home??? Not my fault UPS attempted a delivery and immediately lost the package after somehow....

The picture looks darker, because it’s a shitty picture. However, you can still see it’s not black.

It’s a replica of a Factor and the original is clear over UD, so it’s actually true to the original.
Factor do call this colorway “black” so this is probably where the confusion crept in. But that still means you got what you ordered.

The only discrepancy here is the picture you have isn’t very clear, but I assume there are others from the site you ordered the frame that show more detail?

Imagine people being more dimensional... One can in fact be against fakes and still defend the seller of those if there is unnecessary critics on them.. There are lots of point for critiscm on Yoho, but the mentioned points from OP aint

In this instance someone creates an account specifically to bash a company for selling a product which according to them is not the correct colour (which it is) accusing them of selling a frame covered in cracks (which it isn’t, it’s just UD carbon)

Their “carbon expert” was able to differentiate between T800 and T1000 carbon without destructive testing which has to be an industry first.
And indicating the frame was dangerous.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a fake frame, but each to their own. However, my view is the company did nothing wrong other than fulfill the order.

What I do have a huge problem with, is people not taking responsibility for their actions and blaming/ potentially lying to create a case for themselves and gain internet clout.

I’d love to see the report from the OPs “carbon expert”, I hope that can be posted or maybe a link to their website please?

How can you be 100% certain without a doubt that was not the frame sent? you cannot tell that from a bloody photo!
Anyway would it make a difference they are all made and painted inn the same factory.
Never understand why people moan about "COUNTERFIET" frames!
