Road frame - tallest stack out there?

Hello Everyone,

I'm wondering what the tallest stack people have found for an aero or endurance road frame? Context - I'm 6'7" (201cm) and looking for something in the 640-655mm stack range. I'm currently on a 2XL Canyon Aeroad with a stack of 612mm and it's just not enough for me (killing my low back).

The "racier" the better in terms of geometry as the bike will be for crit and road racing. As well, the stiffer the better as I'm a big guy and a sprinter so it'll see some good power put through it.

From what I've found, most Chinese frames don't cater to the 2XL crowd, but hoping there's one out there I haven't been able to find yet.

Pinarello X is afaik the highest stack thing out there... Goes up to 670

I do not think there are any road framesets in the chinese market with that kind of stack. Tallest thing I could find was the spcycle g068 because it is similar to the canyon grail geometry wise. In order to get those really large sizes you might have to go with a canyon endurace or a pinarello X like rsw42 said. None of the "race geometry" road bikes will get you there unfortunately.

I’ve just built a Gloria Ti allroad for a friend of mine. The frame is a 636 stack but then you add the headset on top of that.
Choose the right external headset and it’ll be 656. Find a bar with a few mm or rise and you could easily see 665mm with the stem slammed.
If you want spacers, you can get that to 690+ without it looking horrible.

Great frame before you consider how well priced they are.
Ive owned 14 TI frames over the years and the Gloria has better finishing quality over most others on the market, until you get to things like Moots etc

Yeah currently looking at the Endurace as a good option. Was hoping for a Chinese frame as I do have a good gruppo & wheels from my current bike. The budget just isn't quite there for a Pinarello  :'(

Good to know - thanks! I haven't looked into the Ti world yet - I think I'm afraid of the weight penalty but I'm not really sure how much that matters for a big guy like me.

It’s kinda silly to prioritise weight over fit, but that’s up to you.
My friend was the same, but he’s finally enjoying pain free cycling.

His Ti frame was 350 grams more than his 62 BMC roadmachine. Really nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Have a look at Basso bikes. The Astra for example hits 650 stack in the largest size. They are all pretty tall fitting.

Highest stack options for Chinese road bike frames that I am aware of are are Yishun R068-D (not sure they still do B2C), Hongfu FM238, Carbonda CFR-505 SL (XL might not be available) or Elilee Blize (not exactly "low cost").
However, none of these options has significantly more stack than your existing Aeroad in 2XL.

It seems odd, as slammed stems are the norm but you might need to consider working with spacers?

Racy - a combination of things: Geometry - placing the rider more over top the bottom bracket, stiffness/responsiveness - will the bike respond well to high power (1600W+), aero tubing - does the bike slice through air.

Even though my Aeroad 2XL has a "tall" stack compared to most, because of my overall height the drop from saddle to bars is 130mm, which I hoped I could handle but I think over time it's compounding into low back discomfort.

I've maxed out the spacers under the cockpit so no more options there.

I know I'm looking for a unicorn bike that actually just doesn't exist (why would a manufacturer make a 660mm stack, aero race bike for the 6 people in the world that want that geometry). Although - the Pinarello X's are pretty close for a "racy" aero bike - I just don't have a spare $25,000 lying around for that bike (and used bikes or frames in that size are not available).

I'd actually be pretty happy with the modern Endurace - it's a great bike by all accounts and does fit the bill for what I'm looking for. Was just hoping there's a Chinese frame out there in a similar size as I have a great gruppo and wheelset on my current bike. Would be $1500 vs $8000.

Appreciate those options! There are just so many Chinese makers and models out there now it's hard to know if I haven't missed anything.

If you are considering western brands, as well, there are more options with higher stack.
Where you asking for tallest stack, "low" cost B2C frames from China or generally tall stack?

Options from XM Carbon speed good choice have an endurance frame might work or a new race frame due for 2026.
