T47A Bottom bracket

Hi All,

I've bought Ostro Vam 2.0 frame and need to source T47A BB.

I will pair it with LEESE 24mm Carbon cranks - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009549219633.html.

Is it worth buying BB from aliexpress and if yes can anyone give me a link for a decent BB, because I don't want to buy something that won't fit.

i found this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008164067923.html with ceramic bearings, are they worth it?

Or should I go for something like https://www.bike-discount.de/en/cyclingceramic-t47a-shimano-24mm-bottom-bracket.

Is this a replica frame? Ostro Vam 2.0 frames come from the factory with a ceramic speed T47A BB in a distinctive blue color. If genuine, the seller ought to include the BB with your frame along with the ceramicspeed SLT headset bearings.

But yes you will need a T47A BB for 24mm cranks. Whether you want to spend a lot on a ceramic one or not is up to you...

I would skip anything ceramic, just not worth it IMHO.
You can go cheap from AE and expect to replace every season OR get something with lifetime warranty from a dealer (Ceramicspeed, Wheelsmanufacturing etc). The trick with those is that they have to be maintained by the dealer to carry the warranty.

I have bought both Senicx and Kactus ceramic T47 BBs, no complaints. Senicx have much higher quality construction than Kactus. Cheaper ZTTO BBs have been fine too. No complaints. Just remember to generously grease threads when installing.

Praxis had far better workmanship than the Kactus BB it replaced for me and runs silently-they're about 65 USD including the very well made proprietary tool for the install.
