3rd gen Magene Chainring quality

Hey all! I am super interested in getting the P515 either PES or TEO PM cranksets from magene. I do however hate the aesthetic of non Shimano cranks coupled with Shimano chainrings, and would rather use the Magene chainrings. I read from previous reviews surrounding durability and shifting quality. However I think since sometime in 2024 they released the 3rd gen chainring which was designed to address those concerns. I have had trouble finding reviews specific to the new chainrings. Anybody have experience with them?

Same here. I am going to buy the TEO this month and looking for light weight 2x chainrings 53/39. The magene are my fav atm. Any experimente or tips for lighter ones?

Throwing in another anecdote from amazon from March 2025 (probably 3rd gen)

I purchased this chainring set for my Ultegra 6800 crankset hoping it would work, I was so pleased with the shifting performance I had to write a review. Yes, I understand, these are meant for the PES505 PM crankset but I used them on my older Ultegra crankset and they have worked so flawlessly I needed to post about my experience with these. First off they are so lightweight, definitely up to par with the OEM shimano rings. After installing, expecting front shifting issues, I was taken aback at how well and smoothly they shift, I couldn't tell they weren't OEM shimano rings. I would absolutely purchased again, they are pretty legit and deserve a try.


I've ordered them and will report back in 1-3 months

Stone 2x chainrings have been shifting perfectly for me. They look good as well and come in 110bcd.

I am in exactly the same position. I'm leaning towards the TEO P515 and the simplest solution would be to order them with the Magene chainrings. I was thinking about the Pass Quest aero ones, but the Magene are much lighter at 138g (50/34 teeth). Considering the 3rd gen has been out since 2024, It's odd that I can't find more first hand reveiws of the shifting quality. The question in my mind is - will the performance be indistinguishable to using Shimano chainrings?

So you have Stone 2x chainrings wit the Magene P515 cranks?  Any pics would be great.
