I’m absolutely thrilled with this build - it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted.
It’s a full suspension that feels like a hardtail when you stand up and hammer on the pedals: no bob, no squish, just pure drive like you’re grinding up a climb on a rigid bike. But as soon as you hit bumps or rough terrain, the suspension kicks in and smooths everything out perfectly. It’s the best of both worlds.
Right now, it’s still too cold here to dial in the shock properly, but I believe it’s running in its softest setting-the air pressure is quite low.
I actually spoke with a contact who works with several of these Chinese frame brands. Turns out that whether it’s sold as Airwolf, XFRRYbike, or another name, they’re all made in the same factory. I went with XFRRYbike because they could source the shock and - importantly - their paint quality is spot-on. Really clean finish, no issues at all.
