All these added features on a 3.5" screen, for around $450.   I see a convergence in capabilities between a dedicated bike computer/navigation tool and cell phones.

I recently purchased another Ulefone armored cell phone with 1/2 the battery size as my Armor 24, (and about half the weight) to use for navigation on bikepacking trips that are less than 4 days long.  ($170 USD, after coins, and coupons with free shipping.)  Cell phones have big screens, and you can download many navigation and route recording apps.  Strava, RidewithGPS, Trailforks, Google maps,  Gaia GPS, onX, download offline maps.

These days, I use my IGS800 for my training rides, recording shorter fun rides, and to download routes to it for riding longer organized rides, or new backcountry routes that are routed and planned ahead of time on a computer.

For multiday rides, the small 2.5" to 3.5" screens just don't cut it for displaying all the information I like to see while riding a backcountry off-road course.   On these rides, the IGS800 becomes the turn-by-turn navigator, and back-up route recorder.  I use my Ulefone with RidewithGPS to navigate the route in detail, and to determine what the terrain is further ahead on the course.   (Climbs, descents, resupply locations, water stops...)

Aa my 3rdback up navigation device, I can always use my regular call phone for navigation.  I keep my cell phone in airplane mode, or turned off on my long trips.  the majority of the time there is little to no cell service between resupply points.

If something happens where I am too far off-course (very seldom does this occur these days)  I can open up other navigation apps to help resolve navigation problems.   This is still very very difficult, on every brand small screened bike computer.)

Perhaps if this Binavi Ultra had been released when I purchased my IGS800,  I would have purchased it.  At this point in time, I will keep using my IGS800 until it really becomes outdated, or fails.

Lots of good changes for the Ultra. I wonder if any of these will trickle down to the older BiNavi models in future firmware updates.

We can hope!

Their lineup is a mess. All kind of different screens and each computer has different features but none has all what's necessary. 3 different models and 3 different iclimb levels. Binavi would be great but it has crap screen and lower level of iclimb. This is stupid and one big mess. That's why wahoo has a great collection, their all computers have basically same options just the screen size differs.

I've been happy with the screen. It has enough resolution for what it does and there have only been a couple of times where the sun was at just the right angle to make it hard to read. Otherwise it works well in the sun.

What you deem as a positive i feel as a negative for the wahoo collection.
if you dont care for variability its fine, but some people like positive changes and the possibility to chose what fits best.

I really like my Binavi Air. Coming from a basic Coospo CS500 it's a massive upgrade. I don't know what I'd improve on it. Maybe a slightly brighter screen as others have said? I haven't ever had an expensive bike computer so I can't compare it. But for the money I think it's a brilliant bit of kit.

You still get extra features with bigger sizes but core stays the same, screens are good in every unit. With igpsport it's a mess, you got 4 new computers with different screens and 3 different iclimbs. It's a mess. Every each of them should have same core options available. As I said binavi air would be great if it had newest iclimb and a good screen. But unfortunately screen is washed and dark.
