I cannot be the only possible buyer looking to run this 1x- especially with rumours of SRAM bringing out a 1x13 speed road group set. Can Peter add a piece of carbon to go over the area where the front derailleur would attach? It would look cleaner and possibly aid air flow?

I will build up our demo bike with 13x XPLR too, considering to use a fancy chain catcher for that part. Nova Ride had a nice one.

I did see the above frame on the scales though. With frame bolts and plastic axle included was 994g.

For an aero bike with such deep tubes I think that is perfectly workable. Hoping to build up our demo to around 6.5/6.7kg ready to ride.

Agree that this is a good weight for what is a very aero looking frame, however Peter did mention a super light version which I think takes this bike to a whole different level - and also helps it stand out in what is quickly becoming a very crowded market of all out aero frames.
To have all that aero shaping and the weight of a climbing bike really would be amazing - and I would definitely hold out for it.

What is the aim of the wind tunnel testing - only for approval that you frame works well and for comparison to other brands?
Or do you want to do some tests for further iteration of the frame, to bring the learnings to the new, following generation of the frame?

There isn't really much you can learn from a wind tunnel test if you only test the finished product. For development you'd make several prototypes with the help of cfd and then you'd take them to the wind tunnel to validate and compare against each other. Ideally at a facility with some more advanced flow analysis tools.

IMO, any other wind test of the frame will be negligible if the rider's position in the bike is like a parachute.

has the mold for the riser bars been made? I think a lot of the feedback I have seen on them is why would you have a -10 degree stem with 20mm of rise when you could probably go -6 degrees and gain another 12mm at 120mm length? Hopefully Peter may be able to change that.

Otherwise you are competing with the Tavelo Rise for the same market space with exact dimensions.

Tavelo has 20mm rise, right?

If you go -6 and have 25mm rise + 12mm from the SA at 120mm, you are equivalent of 37mm spacers. That’s becoming quite a lot and will lead to a much more upright position. The gravel handlebar actually has -8 if you’re looking for an alternative.

Besides; I’m getting a pretty big volume of people asking when they can order the riser road bar. It seems to have hit a nice spot.
