Consider that I was standing on the pedals when I hit the bump; the force and weight are drawn in orange.
The red arrows show the dynamics.
The top tube must support the "narrowing" between the saddle and the handlebars, but if the shock absorber hooks push to rotate it, the impact causes the whole thing to implode.
A DANGEROUS, POORLY engineered bicycle

they definitely undersized or underestimated the top tube.
What size frame is this? I have a medium and am now really concerned. A friend of mine saw my build and was interested in buying one. When I went to the tantan website it wasn’t there any more. Emailed one of the sales reps, Rose?, and they said they are redesigning it and will come out with a new version next summer.

I fear my top tube is starting to crack. This after my swing arm was cracking by the rear brake posts. Did tan tan give you a refund?

Hello

This is a good day to talk about this frame: Friday the 13th.  8)

I am still optimistic it will hold up. My frame is size L and I have put a layer of car wrap to protect the top tube. The protection is against scratches but maybe it can do more..
