Rpantahi aero integrated handlebar (Aerover clone)

Hi, does anyone have any experience on this Rpantahi aero handlebar? It looks like an EXS Aerover that's almost 4x cheaper. I really like the Aerover bars but it's just too expensive for me, and the Rpantahi one looks almost identical. I wouldn't mind buying that one instead as long as it's of good quality.

I dont have any expierence but my first tought is that these might be QC rejects.
HBR17 from lightcarbon has a similar shape with the distinct stem but doesnt have the grip dots on the tops. Not a clone but might be similar enough for your case, similar price aswell.
I would trust these more then the noname brand. And more trustworthy bars, well, are better bars.

The hbr17 is a completely different bar and shape. What OP posted is def an aerover copy; similar to the Ullicyc T3 ultra. If it means anything, I have The One Ultra, which is the same mold as the HBR17 and the T4 Ultra and they are very stiff and of excellent quality. Using that logic, the T3 Ultra/rpantahi bars should follow suit given that they are likely from the same factory.

These are being sold also on the Chinese aliexpress Taobao and they are the equivalent of £65. I would not say they are QC rejects the bars will have no patent so someone has a mould as is making a similar bar

it's not the same. These are just another version of the kocevlo cockpit only painted and double the price

But as it turns out, this one is also slightly different. Quite confusing. They all look similar to the aerover, but none are 1:1 clones.

I have installed the Ullicyc T4 Ultra on my bike. The build quality looks great and it is very stiff. I bought the 380x110 version, and the weight was 315 g. With coupons, it cost me €92 with free shipping to Spain.

I really like that it uses an internal clamping system similar to modern seatposts, so the bolts are not visible from the outside.

Yea those are the one ultra lookalikes. I've seen those, not quite similar to the aerover look for me.

I don't even think they're from the same mould as aerover. it has a slightly different shape, like a roval + aerover combined. Ullicyc also has the same bar.

It would be a design patent or a registered design, but enforcing those globally is really hard, and they usually take 1-2 years from the time of application to when they become enforceable. So even if they apply for them, they aren't that useful in an industry where designs change every 2-3 years. Half of these AliX companies seem to turn over and disappear in 2-3 years too. CAD files and the like are protected by copyright laws, but then you need to prove that someone stole them, rather than just sort of looked at your design and sketched out something similar. Another thing you can do is include ornamental details that you might be able to enforce through some other means, but that's hard on a functional item like a handlebar.

My personal take is that even the Chinese companies can't kill things that aren't basically a 1:1 copy without a utility patent, so that's pretty much what you need.
