'Downcountry' hardtail bike?

Hi,

I'm in the market for a new hardtail, something with a ~67 HA and a ~75 STA. So something similar to a Trek Procaliber and Canyon Exceed. I mainly want to use it for bikepacking and rougher XC routes and sometimes for trail centres (e.g. Glentress). I already have a gravel bike and a trail/enduro (SC Bronson).

Ideally not fully internal cabling (e.g. don't want it to go through the headset) and would like UDH.

Any recommendations?

SPCycle M05 comes closest to what you're asking for if you do not want full internal cable routing:
74 STA
68.5 HTA
506 fork length makes 100mm aus so more CX than down country

Ever other modern hardtail comes with full integration AFAIK

Marino bikes could build you what you want.

I would second Marino, thy built me a 32er and they were great to deal with.  That said, there are lots of aggressive 29er hardtail frames out there for not much. Check pinkbike

My Spcycle M05 packed up on the road.
I am thinking of trying out the new Spcycle SP-M038 as another option for my bikepacking rig.

I just ordered a Spcycle G028 frame. (ETA delivery in August). I am thinking of testing it out as a bikepacking rig.
