Meroca wireless dropper post

I have just recieved my new dropper post from Meroca. It's their wireless version for 31,6mm with 125mm travel for a XC bike.

It weighs in at 646g (604g for a Reverb AXS with the same spec) which feels ok. Having a bike with internal cable routing thru the headset made the choiche to try out a wireless dropper easy
It took about 2 minutes to install and seems to be working fine out of the box. Will give a more detailed review later on when I have some more mileage on it.

Anybody else with any experience from this post?

I've been looking at ali wireless droppers for a while but the available max travel is too short for me. Looking forward to your experience with it.

Would be great if they added a drop bar lever. 27.2 version wold be awesome on a gravel bike

With some workouts under the belt yhis dropper feels really nice so far. Quick action and no play. It has been ridden i really wet and muddy conditions only and has handled that and the clenaning as well.
Only thing i did was to unscrew the "topcap" on the lower part and grease it up a bit. Felt a bit dry out of the box.

Will give a longterm review after summer

this raceworks dropper popped up recently and its significantly cheaper https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005012228905689.html and now I'm very tempted to give it a try.
They also have 27.2 which is also the heaviest for some reason. Probably will have to modify the clamp for the lever to be able to mount it on the drop bar

Tempted by the raceworks one, really cheap, Almost 4x less then the reverb axs.
Of what I can find there seems to 2 versions, the one from seekrun(Sleeker battery, heavier) and the raceworks, meroca, GTMRK.
Does anyone know if servicing is possible or is it a closed cartridge?

The top comment is interesting qoute: These droppers are very popular where I live. And it's been on the market for 1.5 years, actually. First revisions suffered from bad solder joints. High vibration exposure caused about 20-30% of them to stop working. Like going down the mountain a few times. You could technically resolder, but it would mean disassembling the dropper. And it has very strong Loctite in it. Later on, Seekrun had improved the construction, but to this day, 5-10% suffer from this defect.

Another weak point is mud protection. It is recommended to put some protection over the base of the dropper if you ride in wet, muddy conditions. I use a piece of an old tube. Just put it over the place where the dropper goes into the frame so it covers both the frame and a part of the dropper stanchion. It adds a bit of stiction, but the dropper is strong enough to overcome it with ease.

And by the way, this spring they announced a new version. With the battery on the bottom and 200+ mm of travel. End qoute:

I think 27.2 is heavier because they have to use a steel tube for the retractable part, as such a thin aluminum tube would be weak. No such need for the wider options.

Any idea if it is possible to run this dropper with setback? Like a minus -15mm setback or more?

It looks like both models (Seekrun or Meroca/Raceworks/GTMRK) have 0 setback. Of course you can still move your saddle back a little to compensate.
