Mondince FM336

Is there some kind of a Mondince-order-curse? I’ve broken my collarbone 3 days after the order while snowboarding. I’m still getting the bike!

Jack has been a pleasure to deal with.  Extremely responsive and communicates clearly. I was very close to ordering the 336 but I decided to go with a more conservative geo for this build.

There's no curse. I crashed BEFORE I ordered FM336 a few days ago ;-)

Not related to the FM336, but Jack just sent me video of my completed frame (FM286) after painting.  I am pleased.  Only 2-3 weeks since I placed my order.  If all goes well I may be inclined to order an FM336 next year.

Nice! What’s the plan for the build?

SRAM Rival XPLR 13spd, Tagaloo XPLR wide wheels.  All-road, gravel with relaxed geo for riding rough UK roads and some dirt trails.

I already have a purpose built fast bike.  Wanted an excuse to try 13spd and wanted build something that I can ride in wet, muddy weather, year round.  Will probably pull double duty as commuter bike too.

The FM336 looks better but… it would almost be the exact same geo as my dedicated road bike.  My lower lumbar is herniated so, switching to a more endurance style frame should give me some relief.

please share a foto when it arrives, as i'm not shure if i should go the same dark green (PT 560c) as my road bike or give it more of a gulf livery look.

I'm also considering this frame. I'm in contact with Mondince. My setup involves changing the fork to the FM316 with a 50/45 offset. I currently ride a Carbonda 696 and like bikes with a more agile feel

The description on the loca homepage says tires up to 47mm fit into the frame.

I asked Jack a question about the maximum tire size.

I think that FM336 hase too roadish geometry and there may be problem with significant toe overlap if you have larger feet, use modern rearward cleat position and run 45-50mm tires.
FM316/326 are much longer.
