where do you guys see handlebars? they are not mentioned anywhere on the website. do you just ask jack?
also confused on the comments calling the 336 racier/more reach than the 316? i'm looking for a relaxed one and the 336 is shorter for the same size

If we looking for reach to stack fm316 is more race 1.4. FM 336 have 1,46.
All for size L.

FM 336 have geometre TREK Checkmate SLR it's more classic, FM 316 is progressive geometry more like XC and need short stem.

There is some handlebar discussion on the first page of this thread but the impression I get is that Mondince doesn't place much emphasis on handlebars at this time. My assumption is that this frame follows the non-proprietary 56mm headset standard and you can source an integrated handlebar (or stem) from any vendor just as long as they provide a 56mm bearing cover (Lexon, Ullicyc, RXL SL on AliExpress for example).

Requested the same quote as I did for mondince directly and it was 450eur more expensive than mondince (with a handlebar though) after painting and shipping. ouch.

I’ll take pictures of the clearance when the time comes. I’m almost certain it’ll clear thunderburts in dry conditions. May need a smaller back up pair for the mud.

Very unlikely. Manufacturer says you better run max. 47mm.

That’s exactly what he told me today. He said the clearance for a 50 mm tire is 4 mm on each side.
I didn’t even ask about it he reached out to me today to ask if that would be a problem for me and whether it would be better to use tires no wider than 47 mm.
He also sent me two photos.

They must have had some sort of complaint, because he sent me the same message. He also asked if I was still interested the frame due to this limitation.

i was also discouraged from the 336 when i asked quotes for both 336 and 316. they said 336 would be "better for me in terms of riding" without me telling what kind of riding i do at all. found it a little weird

He sent the same thing to me. I’m glad he did though. I do some rough gravel roads/trails. CX MTB and category 3/4 gravel. Really wanted to clear 2.1. Switched over to the 296 which is actually closer in geo to my road bike than the 336.

I'm stay with the FM336. I have 48mm rear and 52mm front tires. My frame will have  FM316 fork, which will further increase its aggressiveness and bring the handling closer to the Trek Checkmate SLR. The only difference will be a mere 1mm fork offset (49 vs. 50), but it still has the option of an additional 45mm offset.

Those pictures of the purple FM336 are actually mine haha. I was the second customer of this frame and I told Jack about this. They had 50mm tire clearance announced in their website which was false. Maximum is 47mm. Loca bikes (a bike brand from Poland that bought 500 frames) announces in their website 47mm tire clearance, that's how I noticed something was wrong with my rear tire clearance. 50mm at the front is okay. Definitely doesn't fit a ThunderBurt 2.1.
