Hello guys I am ordering the frame.
And all the pieces for my build.

For the crankset I am going with sram red.

Should I go sram red classic or sram red wide?

I rather have the thinnest q factor but so the frame fit the classic?

You can do both to be honest. Should not be a problem afaik. I ran the dub wide because there was only stock available with this interface. The SRAM Rival and Force are selling like candy. Crazy!

For the wheelset I am planning:
Rim Inner Width: 30mm
Rim outer Width: 36mm
Rim depth: 45mm

So whatever I would mount it will over at around 47-48mm the minimum.
Any experience or recommendation to that?

I contacted Mondince. They know about the problem with threading the brake hose. The problem was due to too much glue.

Caracal race 45mm is actually ~47mm on 24-25mm IW rims... on my 32mm IW rims they measure slightly above 50mm... so on IW 30mm wheels they will probably measure just below 50mm.

Then based on that it is much better that I go for a 45mm to reach 48/49mm, than to go for 47mm and overpass 50mm that can become an issue due to tyre clearance.

In my FM336 I have 50mm front / 45 mm rear (G-ONE RS). I have 30mm IW wheels. The 45mm measures 47-48mm and the 50mm around 52.

I am also very interested in this frame and have E-Mail contact to Jack asking some questions etc.

One major Issue is the Size which I have to decide.

My current bike is a Stevens Gavere in Size 58 (choose 2022 Model in bikeinsights for correct geo). Its a very relaxed, comfortable pure adventure gravel bike. BUT I mostly ride in the city, asphalt roads, bike roads, sometimes light gravel but rarely really hard single trails. I enjoy speeding, doing kilometers after work to relax myself. But I also enjoy riding wood trails with some roots, stones etc. My riding profile is more like 70% asphalt/bike roads, 20% light gravel, 10% single trails/hard gravel tracks.

I am 185cm tall, 93-95kg bodyweight. Did a lot of extra measurements. Inseam is about 88-90cm; Torso-Length 64cm, Arm-span 182,5cm (yes negative Ape Index lol).
So I am basically tall with long legs, but not so long arms and "normal" torso. This is where it gets complicated. Jack says: Choose L. AI says choose XL because XL has only 5mm more Reach than L but it got 24mm more stack. This reduces the risk, that I have to work with of spacers, high stem or weird cockpit compensatiion later.

My current setup would be:

- schwalbe G-One RS Performance tires in 45mm
- Mondince FM336 Frameset

- 300mm carbon seatpost
- other parts like, cranks, groupset are not yet ordered


Thats a lot of information I know. I am just looking for the beste compromise frame for my body and my riding style

I will go for L also, more seatpost out = more flex and confort, you can have some spacer and as you get more fit and more flexible you will slam the stem and be faaast and sexy

Looking at BikeInsights, the Mondince XL frame is slightly smaller than the Gavere one while the L frame is substantially smaller than the Gavere. If the Gavere works well for you, I'd go with size XL for the Mondince.

The Gavere in general works for me, yes. When I see the bikeinsights diagram I just think "is even the XL too small for me?" But maybe this is caused by lack of experience because the Gavere is my first gravel bike. I even have to say its my first bike where I spent more money. In the past Ive ridden cheap, used vintage peugeot bikes. But these bikes were just for being mobile and not for doing ride-outs and doing sport. Now I enjoy doing sport on my bike, doing ride-outs. Its more than just being mobile in the city and around.

The "BUT" was related to my actual riding style and what the gavere was designed for. I think its not a perfect fit (anymore). I am definitely not a frequent bikepacker and adventure graveler. Yes, I do bikepacking and adventure graveling but rarely. Long story short. I dont want to lose the ability to do graveling but I want a bit sportier more for street/asphalt/road designed frame.

seatpost: yes you are right. But thats not a big deal. I can use the seatpost for my girls bike. My current seatpost on the Gavere is 350mm long, and most of it is buried in the frame. But that’s just because the frame itself is larger—when I bought that seatpost, the FM336 wasn't even on my radar yet. Thats why i chose 300mm.
