Any carbon frame that is similar to Marin Gestalt X geometry?
« on: January 01, 2026, 01:36:07 PM »
Marin released a new Gestalt a couple of years ago (2024 Marin Gestalt X), which has the geometry that I really like:  1) really slack head angle (67.5-deg);  2) upright seat tube angle (75deg);

Any Chinese carbon frames hit these specs? especially the slack head angle. AFAIK, you have to use a 29er hardtail frame for that kinda slack angle. that those 29er hardtail frames (like SP Cycle M09, HA 67-deg) require 520mm (Axle-to-Crown) long fork and not the 400mm-440mm gravel carbon forks, and if you use the shorter gravel carbon forks, the head angle will increase back to about 70-deg.

Geo's awesome on these. They have a couple of pretty huge spoilers though. Tiny chainring clearance, and tiny crank / heel clearance on seatstays. I descended on one running G-one speeds (2.3?) and it felt awesome ... but couldn't even pedal it clearance was so bad.

I'd love to see a chinese aero carbon version without the fubar rear triangle, perhaps with am even steeper seat angle and option for 1x.
