I read this and I laugh. FOMO is YOUR issue, not an issue with Winspace. You can't blame Winspace because you lack control and falling for marketing propaganda.
It's not a lack of control it's just a completely different model. I have had three Winspace frames over five years and I managed to luckily sell them at cost basically, but IMO again when every other Western brand moves on a 3 year product cycle and even someone like Tavelo, Evolve, Seka are carefully releasing bikes on a 1+ year span, yeah it feels like Winspace it just Beta testing on it's consumers. Max from The Watt Life explained it via Winspace having a full design team, thus they are really just cranking out projects without a ton of thought. This doesn't take away from Winspace being good bikes, but IMO the reason I buy Chinese products isn't even price, granted that helps, but more so it's providing features Western brands simply do not provide yet. Thus if you are going to crank out projects constantly, just put more thought into how these bikes not only compare to benchmark bikes like the SL8/SL9 or S5, but how can you provide an inherent feature(s) that makes these bikes worth while, because in the end Winspace has become like OnePlus in that they are just a "value" brand or more so an enthusiast brand, where yes you have rabid cycling people who want the latest and greatest and will spend, but as Marques Brownlee noted these are the most fickle customers who will jump ship the most.
Sure Tavelo and the Arden could just be the next flavor of 2026, but what has me confident that the Arden has found a real niche is that very few Western brands have a bike like this, not saying they can't develop one, but with all the 2025/2026 bike releases basically done and Western brands running on a three year span, it would be slim if Cannondale revised the Gen 5 SSE to accept 35mm tires and offered a riser bar. It be slim that Specialized would do the same for the SL9 and even revise a Roval Rapide CLXIII that was just released June 2025 to meet even the dimensions a Reserve wheel does. Heck Roval's Rapide Cockpit while refreshed IMO is still a tad behind in progressive fits in that the narrowest bar while better is still just 36cm and the the move to a shorter drop is just missed with the current ones having a pretty massive 127mm drop
