Aliexpress buyers, what was your purchase to shipment turnaround time? I ordered yesterday and am already getting impatient!

Ordered on June 8th with custom paint request, shipped June 24th. Has cleared customs and will be delivered in the next days I guess. So production (custom paint) + shipping is around a month.

I ordered a gloss black on June 1. I got a message from spscycle via Ali messages that it shipped on the 19th and delivery by July 10th. I got a shipped notification from Ali via email on June 29th and delivery by July 17th. It's shipping to US and I'm waiting for Fedex to update status. If it arrives by the 17th I will consider myself fortunate.

For Ali purchases you can also look at Raku ten for cashback. I've gotten as high as 20%. They do not seem to apply cashback to shipping or sales tax in the US) Not to rub salt in the wound, but it's currently at 14%. They pay out like 2-3 months later.

Now that we have a few more complete bikes posted, has anyone else's fork looked as rough as the one spcycle has now agreed to take back from MiWi? Was it a one off that they agreed its not good, or a one off that a not good one got shipped?

Oof. I forgot about that. And dustedrob's fork at the top of that page is pretty rough looking as well.

I spoke to david from sp cycle regarding the fork and this is what he told me;
''There are no quality issues with the Fork itself. The worker used too much epoxy AB glue to fix the front brake cable guide. This issue has been resolved.''
So I went for the meinier ;D

This is what turns me off.
A manufacturer that considers those carbon quality (pores, voids, grindingmarks) as perfectly fine.

Here are some random fork pictures from the mondice and tantan threads in this forum
A crystal clear difference in the overall carbon quality while being the same cheap price category.
(I don't expect boutique brand quality from the cheap stuff, but basic low level quality)

Concerning my fork, I opened a PayPal claim. SPcycle agreed to refund me once I have returned my frameset. Unfortunately I am looking at about 100$ of shipping cost as a private customer EU-> CN. I will contact them once again and ask them so send me a new fork, given that they agreed on sending out a new fork to others. The frame itself is sloppy, but I don´t think its not rideable. I still consider the fork dangerous. I do not agree that the defective position is a position of little stress to the steere tube. In fact it is close to the lower bearing point that basically takes all the load when braking during descending.

First review on AliExpress spotted:

High-quality frame. Beautiful color; it shifts between blue and purple hues depending on the lighting. Neat paintwork—all mounting surfaces are left unpainted. Tire clearance with Schwalbe Thunder Burt 29x2.25 tires (actual width 55mm on my rims) is about 7mm on each side at the rear; I didn't measure the front, but the clearance is greater there. Easy assembly—no facing or filing was required, and the threaded inserts and bottom bracket shell are perfectly aligned. It’s a shame the downtube storage bag isn't included, but that’s a minor issue—it can be purchased separately. I’ll update this review after testing.

Here is the processing of the fork from meinier grl15. Is this also bad? I don't see anything wrong

Hello everyone! I ordered from their website at the end of May and I just got it. I asked for a custom paint and the result is good (but not perfect). Overall quality seems good, also considering the price. The fork also looks in a good shape.

Frame ordered on May 22th arrived June 7th
Paintwork average just had time to check critical points.

Everything looks fine so far apart from the rear brake mounts. Those need attention.

The last 3 forks look a lot better to me. Less pores, much better saturation with eopxy overall and the grinding process is also much cleaner.
That´s absolutely acceptable and I´d be satisfied with such quality.

I haven´t heard back from them since one week. Might have to open a paypal case as well.
