SPCycle G028 new gravel frame with 57mm tires clearance

Hello,

Has anyone here who is relatively small ridden this frame?

I'd like to build one for my girlfriend. She is 163 cm tall and currently rides a Canyon Ultimate Wmn XS on the road.

I'm a bit worried that this frame might be too long for her. The reach is 385 mm in size S (top tube 533.6), while her Canyon Ultimate XS has a 368 mm reach (top-tube 521mm).

She is currently using a 380 mm handlebar with an 80 mm stem.

Any feedback from riders around her height would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My girlfriend has exactly the same height than yours, and we're waiting one frame in size S for her. (Its shipped, hope the next week the frames are here). We already have the handlebars, Lexon Unox 380/80 for her.

Consider the new L-Twoo EGR over the GeX - it's cheaper and better. Alternatively, consider spending a little extra and getting a Shimano 105 / Deore M6250 combination - should only be about $200 more expensive which if you're likely to be far away from help on a gravel bike you should really consider the reliability (though it means you have 12 speed instead of 13).

They just forgot to remove some of the paint from the inside, it shouldn't be inside the frame.

It's definitely more than just some paint from the inside. I had to sand it for a good 20min with 80 grain sandpaper just to get the seatpost to fit in the frame. I had to remove quite a bit of material and the problem wasn't actually right at the top but it was after the clamp so a good 3-5cm in the frame.

Anyway in the end I got it to work and Spcycle agreed to send me a new carbon seatpost since mine was ruined, but in a perfect world it shouldn't happen.

Hopefully everything else is going to go smoothly

Concerning my fork, the PayPal dispute ended in their offer to send back the frame and get a full refund. Since shipping EU->CN as a private customer is extremely expensive and I like the framespecs otherwise I asked if it would be possible to get a replacement fork simply and they agreed on it. Lets see if and how the new fork arrives.

The new fork arrived. The finish is still rather poor, but at least the large groove in the fork shaft is not there anymore. I will build and ride the bike, however I won´t buy anything from SPcycle again. I had ICAN, Velobuild and Longteng frames before, all made a way better impression.

The paint looks really sick, maybe spcycle could face the BB to make sure the paint does not flake away when screwing in the BB.

I´ve got question regarding tire size:

has anyone tested a Schwalbe 2.35 tire (maybe Racing Ralph) or a Maxxis Aspen 2.4 or similar on the rear tire? Or at least Schwalbe 2,25"? If yes is there enoug clearence?
It would be interesting for me. Because when I buy a gravel with such a tire clearance I wanna give away my MTB.

This is the clearance with 2.25 thunder burts measuring 57 mm on my 32 mm internal width wheels. They are new so I think they will grow a little bit more.

On the front plenty of clearance and in the back 5 mm on the left and 6 mm on the right side.
