K-Edge Chain Guide Installation

Hi !

I recently purchased a K-Edge Chain Guide for my VB-R-268 1x set up and I have hard time to install properly.

The outer plate is rubbing the chain and since there are only 3 screws, I do not really know if I have to un-screw them to push the outer plate far from the chain.

I am pretty sure my crankset is installed correctly because it works flawlessly without the chain guide but if you have any checks to ensure that is installed suitably, let me know.

I had a similar issue with mine, but it‘s been a while and I eventually got rid of it again. With a proper 1x drivetrain setup and narrow-wide ring, you shouldn‘t really need one.

Anyway, if I remember correctly, the middle screw sets the distance and the other two just lock that in place. As I couldn‘t get the guide far enough outward, I had to find longer screws for all of them to make it work. You may have to do the same,unfortunately.

take off both outer screws
inner screw pushes guard in or outboard by extending thread out/in.
eyeball it and lock in gap on middle screw,then reassemble outer 2 screws leaving the desired gap.
i have this on my 1x TT setup 56T oval chainring so err on side of caution with bouncy chains out west of ireland.
