Separate riser bar + internal cable route stem combos?
« on: September 08, 2026, 01:26:41 PM »
Looking for something in the 380-400mm range for bars and maybe 100-110mm range for stem

Would absolutely love if the cabling just went under the stem rather than through it to enable me to play with different stem lengths/angles w/o taking the bars apart.

Handlebars

Specialized sell a 15mm rise Hover handlebar; I don't know whether 15mm is enough for you but if you want flare, there is a second Hover plus Flare model available as well.

(I didn't look closely but I believe cable routing is completely external to the bar.)

Stem/headset

On the more expensive side you have things like the Deda Superbox stem that allows for a variety of cable routing options; check the video to get an idea but the 'S-DCR' (with the scoop cover) or the 'Direct' (routing through the top cover) method may apply to your situation. (Stem angle: 8°)

AliExpress alternative to Superbox (ZTTO, stem angle: 7°): https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809062384224.html

Or you can just get a Deda S-DCR headset by itself and pick whatever stem you like.

As always, make sure the various dimensions match what you have and that what you're being sent includes all the little bits and bobs you need.

My favourite candidates are either the Spesh Hover with flare (round, 15mm) or PRO Discover Ergo (flat tops, 10mm, but very shallow drops).

Aliexpress has some carbon options but they're fairly extreme gullwing shapes with 20 or 30mm of rise that look kind of whack.

Not able to decide on anything myself yet,
been borrowing a Super Six Evo i'm not quite flexible enough for albeit only missing ~12mm of stack compared to my own Felt. (cracked fork, stuck in warranty for over three months already)
I just already look like i'm riding the wrong size bike...
