As Jesse said, that is a 3D proto, so it will take a longer while. Let's see what they bring for Eurobike next month.

What's the reason for the 160/160 brake setup? More curious than anything.

Considering Lightcarbons reputation for quality and value, especially based on the hugely successful LCR018-D, this is sure to be a winner.

Being ultra picky - would love an SL version that brings a 54 under 1000g, but its not a deal breaker.

Oh man, I just bought LCR018-D and have like 5000km on it, amazing bike. This looks pretty much perfect for me, even geo looks good, I would like to se more bb drop, but that is just detail.

What are you thoughts on this compared to the XMCS AERYS:VRT? In general I think they are comparable.
But since Lightcarbon focusses more on budget friendly results, I would expact a pricepoint in the area of 1000 USD compared to 1900 USD of XMCS. With the "penalty" of +100g or so.
In a video of a Youtuber they said, that they want to base their products in the 500-1000 USD range if I remember corrctly.
I will also be on Eurobike (where both Lightcarbon and XMCS will be). There I can share more pictures and details (if not already present by then).

We are starting to get spoilt for choice. You also have the Mondince FM126 which is available now and starts at $700 + Shipping. They have a super light and ultralight version with weighs similar to the XMCS. SPcycle are also refreshing their SP R065 frame with UDH and will be about 80g lighter. The XMCS offering is starting to look like it's in no man's land.

Users on a budget would probably get this, that includes me. But if I have additional budget, I would just get XMCS Aerys:VRT.

That’s also the feedback I gave to Helen at Hongfu/avenger regarde their R8RS. I love it but I can’t justify spending $1000 over the mondince FM126. The delta gets me carbon crankset, lighter cassette, branded pedals (wahoo) and higher end wheels while staying in my budget and I think I’ll  and up with a superior bike at the end.
