I would prefer steeper seat tubes even in larges sizes but offer a seat post option with setback. With my seat height getting the saddle forward enough is sometimes a challenge even with 8cm of setback.

Exactly my thought.. too bad Size 54 isnt still 74deg STA like the size smaller.. they should have kept it 74 and instead make front center a fem mils longer. That would work better for me.
Optimally i would want 75deg effective STA - that with zero-offset seatpost would make the saddle kind of centered on the seatpost. With 73.5deg today, i have it slammed, and its kind of ok that way.

Bars with a stack rise of 25mm?
Doesnt this compete hard with the LCR018-D?

slight changes in:

• tyre clearance
• handling dynamics
• rider fit (rounding errors almost with the 25mm riser bar)
• Weight (also only a few grams)
• Aero, but both untested

Why make such a similar product or am i missing the whole point?

its just an up version.. LC knows what sells, and this is the current trend.

What do you guys think about this frame compared to the mondice fm126. I am currently looking at them both. Quality wise the mondice frames seem to be quite good as well (some people reviewed the gravel frames and there is one thread regarding the fm126 with pictures as well). The geometry is a bit different though, the mondice frame has the excact same geo as the Tarmac SL8.

The Mondince is cheaper and lighter but I like the design of the lightcarbon better. I also prefer their riser style handlebar.

I think this frame looks better, and also looks generally more aero designed, but since they probably wont test any of the frames, that is just thinking.
But i like weight, seat-tube angle and bb-drop better on Mondince frame.
Since this frame takes 35c tires i think they should have gone for 75mm BB-drop. Especially considering tires and aero-aspect of it.
In my size (54) they should have had a steeper Seat tube and a bit longer front center instead of just slackening seat tube angle.
I have to agree that the handlebars looks really nice!

Just heard back from Carol.
The frame will be shown at Eurobike, sample will be ready in August and approximate price is $770 / set.
Thats a lot of frame for not a lot of money!

That is very cheap, basically the same as the mondice but a bit heavier. They both sound great, look great and quality seems to be good for both of them as well.
