Just ordered, apparently they'll have a batch ready next friday. Seems like they also have no issues leaving out some of the mounting points / rivets if asked. I for example don't really need the front rivet on the fork (also looks kinda ugly imho.  ;D)

Few more pics of frameset. The size is M. Black parts on the fork are rubber inserts. Photos of tire clearance with ruler are needed.
Well, I'd prefer through-hole at the middle between strap holes, like on open wide 2.0. It could be easy converted to 3 rivets with 3d-printed insert.

Cool! Will be waiting for your photos of tire clearance with 29x2,4 tires and ruler!

Some made up (very sketchy) reviews are there as well. I laughed at "Max 52T chainring handles steep mountain gravel climbs easily" ...

Thanks for the link! It would be supercool if you could build complete bike with 29x2,4 tires and share photos of it🙂

Tantan factory just posted pics of this frameset with handlebar in their instagram account:

Also there is a weight of frame without fork on the photo. It is 1307 gr. I think it is size M.

I have to say, those "reviews" are a blight nowadays. Sadly, they are a bit off-putting – true.

I wanted to ask you about the fork. Do we have two options to pick from – with and without those black inserts? Also, can you tell me what those holes, covered by inserts, are actually for? They look different from the ones on the Open WIDE 2 fork.

I am ordering one too (Size S) and I wonder what the timeline looks like. Most of the parts are already at my place. We will see how it comes out. Progress will be uploaded for your viewing pleasure!

EDIT: One change - there suposed to be protectors like for 346 and they seem to be missing.  :-\

They confirmed to me that there will be rubber downtube / chainstay protection. Let's see... :D

I asked Jack the same question about rubber inserts and that is what he answered:

“ It is a rubber. When customer want to intall bag there. the can wrap the bag”

I think those holes in the fork work the same way as on Open Wide 2.0

Has anyone actually recieved their FM356 frame? Interested in knowing the actual tire clearance before I pull the trigger myself. I'm in no rush as this will be a winter project for me.

I wanted to buy one, but Jack told me that they will still need about 20 days to produce size L.

I think that the first frames will be received by some guys from this thread in the middle or in the end of august.
