XM Carbon Speed handlebar on my SL8

[img]Decided to go with this bar after months of deliberating about which one piece bar to choose. The ergonomics on this bar are seemingly perfect to me, I was looking for something most similar to an Enve Pro Bar without spendeing 1200$. Also at 352g they are not light but I wanted similar durability&stiffness as the big brands so I figured with Peter marketing them as extra stiff that was what I wanted.
They were super easy to route, much easier than the Tavelo bars, I had to get a 3D printed SL8 to FSA ACR headset adapter but I don't mind cause I was able to source a very high quality SLS printed model since ACR is so popular.
Overall after a few weeks of riding I'm very happy with the stiffness and ride feel, vey trustworthy product so far and I'm looking forward to getting more of Peter's products soon.

I assume you can also get them 3d printed (i.e. look at instagram from stickybottle). Those are often better when you're looking at lower stack solutions.

The other way around is more difficult to find, Roval Rapide cockpit to FSA. Last year I had to draw one myself and get it printed.

FSA USA lists these parts at $33. They are out of stock, but I would drop them an email to see if they can get you one sooner—super friendly folks. Just buy it from them.

I've done some work for the Tarmac SL7 and SL8, and it's tough to go lower in terms of stack height because of how the hoses need to run. Also, it's tough to go lower on price unless you can do relatively large production runs. I don't pay myself for the time I spend designing the parts I make, w/100% of the profits still going back into new product development, and that kind of pricing is something I can only offer on my higher volume products for the PA12GB stuff. As far as I know, the other sources for 3D printed headset covers are similar in price, too.

If you were to use standard PA12 and find the cheapest SLS supplier, you could cut the price down to like $20 if you were doing runs of a dozen or so parts at a time. I wouldn't ride that as a permanent solution, though.

I commissioned the part from a guy called "Mario Ti" a representative of spartsti.com through facebook. They have many 3D scans in their library and can make custom covers to match many frames/stems. Still not cheap at 35USD but nicer quality than the FSA one, and custom stack available too.
