Installed the front gear on the wrong side of the crank, so i bought spacers because the gear was against the frame.
I did not need any spacers at all.

I haven't an "I am and idiot" moment in over 10 years.

OTOH, in my older age, the am getting "CRS" disease.  (Can't remember shit)
- I set things down that I am using, and they disappear nowhere to be found, then reappear right in front of me hours later.
- I am more easily distracted these days.  Hey look over there, a "Squirrel"   Then I have to think, what task was I working on before I was distracted.
- My reading glasses?   Where did I set them down now?
- I place bike parts in places that I am sure to remember where, then have to spend an hour looking for where I put the part the next day.

When I am focused on a bike project, the project always seems to go fantastic overall and no mistakes are made.
