Cranks, rims, axle mounted derailer hangers + compressionless brake housing?

I'm rebuilding my steel road bike and looking around for shorter cranks for a road/commuter. After hollowtec 2 165mm/160mm and cheap and cheerful aluminium or maybe carbon if it's reliable and cheap but I know that those two words don't always go together on ali. Something around 105 level that can take two chain rings for a wide range double setup around 42-26 though i might also just go 1x.

Also wanting some compressionless housing for cable actuated disc brakes. Anyone in china making it yet? I haven't had much luck in my searches.

And looking for suggestions for road rim brake rims, at least 18mm id but preferable 20mm. *edit, i'd be keen for rear hubs and spoke suggestions as well if anyone has experience with wheel building supplies from ali. It's a QR 135 frame. I've read some Goldix hubs in the mtb space are ok but would take any other recs too.

And lastly a dropout or axle mounted derailer hanger that actually puts the hanger in alignment with the drop out so that you have access to the full cassette. Muzqui make one but its kinda flimsy so i was wondering if anyone knew of another.

For compressionless housing, I’d recommend Jagwire https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005008761977255.html. I’ve used it on several builds and it’s always worked really well for me.

As for the axle-mounted derailleur hanger, I’d suggest this one https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005005612065745.html it’s actually the model I use personally and I’ve had no issues with it.

I’m sure others here will be able to point you in the right direction regarding the crankset and rims, as there are quite a few good options available depending on your budget and whether you decide to stick with 2x or go 1x.

This is the Muqzi one i've used. It works well but is very weak, they don't deal with knocks and straightening at all. Snapped the last one I tried to correct.

Do not get these.
Noisy from the beginning and the alloy axle developed play on the press it side after less than 200 km. They came in 160mm which is nice, and a slightly narrower Q factor. But they didn’t last.

Which chain rings are you using with it? I've seen a video where trace velo mentions that some of the RIRO branded one piece 2x chain rings failed due to being a bit weak. Both the Goldix and Senicx 2x one piece rings look pretty solid but you really can't tell until you've got them if they're going to be ok.

They do look a bit more solid, and are 30g or so heavier.
