That is exactly what I was thinking after I saw the first builds. Still not sure to pull the trigger.

I thought the whole point of that was that you are able to open the downtube storage and have the bottles be independent from that. Can anyone confirm if that is the case?

I also have a frame on order. I intend to use this for bike packing and regular gravel riding. I guess I'll have to get something like this (https://www.topeak.com/global/en/product/1773-CAGE-MOUNT-EXTENDER). Doesn't seem like a big deal, but I've never had to lower my bottle cage... Has anyone used one before? My frame bag fits well on my racing bike with a bottle in place, but touches just a little.

That should be the case if I take the photos of the build bikes. But therefore thr bottlemount at the donwtube is defintly higher the normal. And then a framebag should be diffiult to mount.

If you are running a frame bag do you really need the downtube storage compartment? Personally don't care about it. The geometry and tyre clearance onforma my choice. Not an imo gimmicky storage compartment 🤷

Received my FM376 yesterday and built it up.
Great quality, happy with how it rides too.
I reused a merida cockpit off my old bike and had to reuse the 7mm bearings also (frame was supplied with 8mm ones).
Plenty of clearance even with a front derailleur, currently running 50mm but could prob squeeze 55 in the back with the f mech.

Is that a size L? How tall are you? and most importantly how does the riding on the bike feel like?

It's a medium. I'm 174cm but with long legs (bb to saddle 72cm).
It's a little longer than my old Merida, so with reusing the same bar/stem I decided to try the bars slammed. It's a bit racier of a position but I've found it comfortable so far.
Bike feels great, stable and lots of grip but still good under power.
There is good toe clearance too. I run my cleats all the way back and there is still about an inch of space between my shoe and the tyre (with 50mm tyres).
Really happy with it so far, going to put some 2.1 thunder burts on when they are back in stock here.

I ordered a frame about two weeks ago as well, should be shipping soon, at least I hope so.

Quick question: Did you get a bag for the downtube storage in the box?

I’ve run into a problem with my build, can’t tell if I’ve missed something or if it’s a problem with the frame. The lower headset bearing appears to be recessed too far into the frame. When the system is tensioned, the frame and the top of the fork are rubbing on each other, wearing away paint.

I’ve used the 8mm bearing, as per Jack’s instruction video. Am waiting to hear back from him with any suggestions.

I don’t suppose anyone else has run into a similar issue and has a fix?

Quick update; turns out the instructions that Jack gave me were wrong. The video he sent said the bearing with the red seal was installed at the top of the frame, and black seal was installed at the bottom.

After informing him that this didn't work, he's sent me a new instruction video the has the red seal at the bottom and black seal at the top...go figure.

Should have time to rebuild it on Friday and will provide another update.

I had thought I’d read people earlier in the thread stating that the frame requires DUB wide cranks rather than regular, but Jack has just said the opposite to me that it just needs the regular DUB cranks. Can anyone confirm this for me? Cheers!

It might work with standard cranks in some configurations, like 40 or 42t chainrings or 3rd party chainrings with zero offset. I tried standard cranks with Sram 46t chainring and it was rubbing the frame.

If you already have a standard crank, give it a try. If you have to buy one, go with the wide version.

How much offset do normal sram Chainring have. I think i read 6mm somewhere. So a 0 offset would probably work at least for something like a 44 or 46.

Normal sram chainrings have a 6.5 mm offset.

Hi All,

My frame ( after many delays and sorry’s from jack ) is on its way. However, I have never built a bike before and are struggeling how to make sure my cockpit wil allign nicely with the frame. Could any of you advice on how to fit winspace hyper bars perfectly to this frame ( i.e which headset etc i should buy)? Winspace does offer multipe headsets/ spacer options for different models of bike for their frame but of course not Mondince. Would love any tips/help so I can build up the bike perfectly the moment i get it
